That's true. "Educated" tends to mean PROGRAMMED. A scholar will fail History class unless they answer questions regarding Pearl Harbor, the Kennedy Assassination, 9-11, ect. a certain way. That should tell you all you need to know right there. 🤔

It's more than likely just a matter of taste. Nearly everyone claims that crappie is the best tasting fish there is..... but personally, as for the taste of CRAPPIE, I can't taste anything except whatever they are breaded in. 🤷‍♂️

Listen here MoCarp, you asked how they figured river miles in the 1960's 🙄 Before high resolution satellite imagery (Google Earth). They knew the width of the river, and the length of all the bridges. Knowing THAT.....Having an aerial photo of a winding section of river, a ruler, and some decent math skills......It can be figured out fairly accurately. Don't ya think?

I think it depends on where you catch them. The ones we caught in the Salt river tribs, and in strip pits & ponds when I was younger were delicious.....but the ones here at Lake O are kinda gross.

I've experimented with a bunch of articulated streamers, but for ME the only one worth the effort is Blane's Game Changer. I quit using long shank streamer hooks a decade ago.....and I think that was a good move. Any fish worth hooking eats the fly head first, so nearly everything I fish with is tied on Mustad 34007 1x long hooks. B10S is a popular hook, but they are brittle and I had a couple of them break while trying to get unsnagged so now I'm gun-shy about tying on them anymore.

No, you can use cactus chenille, just instead of tying the belly sections in as clumps.....just tie the stem of a marabou plume in and make 3-4 wraps. The darker back pieces can still be tied in via clumps. Try it ! 👍 I have a couple in the boat, but it's covered and I'm not in the mood to go diving for it at the moment.

I'm not a fan of edibles 😵‍💫 Ate a half of a gummy on a fishing float and within 30 minutes I was TOO HIGH TO FISH! Longest float ever. How the hell can you be too high to FISH ? 🤷‍♂️

Here's a tip on that fly that IMO makes it even better..... Tie in the stem and wrap the white (or belly) sections of marabou, and then tie in the back (darker) sections the way you did both. 👍 It swims way better that way. And the center core shows through in a way that just screams "EAT ME !" Looks like a feather duster when dry.....but really comes alive when in the water.

I don't feel so bad about exterminating hawks now. 👍 It's unfortunate for them that they can't seem to acquire a taste for feral cats.

The alcohol content tests the same AROUND HERE, but I don't see any benefit to running premium fuel. Actually the shelf life of premium could be less..... since they don't sell as much of it. As I said, the only issue I recognize with today's fuel is....How long it can be stored, which appears to be about 4-6 weeks, tops. Any longer than that and I can notice a difference. When setting the idle mixtures on carbureted engines after a complete fuel system overhaul, I can notice a difference on 1/4 turn of the mixture screw (jet) with fresh fuel. With aged fuel I can turn those mixture screws 1/2-3/4 turn and barely be able to notice a difference. That right there tells me everything I feel that I need to know. I always set idle mixtures with fresh 87% fuel that I've had in my remote tank for less than 2 weeks.

As I understand it.....All ethanol is alcohol, but not all alcohol is ethanol. Therefore the advertised "ethanol free" fuel is not necessarily ALCOHOL free.
