  1. Somebody that's somebody threw a tantrum with the MSWP and they have altered the time of the race. They have no control of the "spectators" however, which is where the problem lies. I don't believe it was the highly professional RACERS that had anyone concerned. What these powerboat races do, and I see this every time they have one, is they get everyone hyped up to bury the throttle on whatever they are driving. For a week prior to, and after the SHOOTOUT, everyone will be haulingass everywhere they go. Monkey go fast? Baboon go fast too! I don't profess to be any different. After watching a bit of that, and listening to those engines roar.....I'll admit that I get the desire to heat up some pistons and feel some wind myself. 😎 Unless the water is really rough, overtaking and staying in front of a scarab in a modern bassboat, so you don't have to eat his wake, is no problem at all. 😁
  2. If you're wondering who owns it, WE do. If you want an outhouse there, build one. I'll donate a couple bucks.
  3. "Local muskie fishermen" 😅 That's funny.
  4. He was probably moving his foot in a figure 8 pattern. 😅
  5. Just go ahead and allow DHS to document the vessel, they'll issue you a card for fuel and maintenance. In the event of a disaster it will be ready for them if they need it. In the meantime.....Go Fishing in it. No licensing fees, and no property tax due.
  6. They actually had that regatta permit BEFORE the BBB permit was applied for. As of June 20 there was no confirmation that there would be a fall BBB.
  7. The fly-fishing stuff is even worse. You've never seen such excited majesty over a 10" stocker rainbow in your life. And God help you if they go to a farm pond and catch a bluegill. Apparently there's something about taking up fly-fishing in your late 30's-early 40's that makes everything in the world so much more beautiful and appreciated. It's like legal LSD.
  8. Get that boat of yours out! Set some trot lines or limb lines, and do some juggin'.
  9. Some of the YT channels are really cool. Better, by far, than anything on TV. I wish I had some editing skills, and the desire to sit down and do it.
  10. All of the guys I know that are consistently successful with big blues, either drifting or using jugs, target flats that are 25' or less, and they are fishing 10-15' deep. So 5-10ft. off the bottom appears to be the best zone. Flatheads are bank cruisers. Channel cats are everywhere (top, bottom, and in between).
  11. Gotta have some good video clips for that YouTube channel !

  13. Had to do an emergency bunk job TODAY after a 40 foot step hull BAJA launched yesterday and 8 of the 12 bunks slid off into the water with the boat. In case you're wondering....😅 Makes it a pleasure to replace the bunks on that Jon boat trailer, hu?
  14. Yes I know. I use silicone lubricants alot, daily, and I have used them on flyline before. It's good for an hour or two. There is something in Agent X that gives it a light blue-green tint. I'm sure that silicone is the main ingredient but there's something else in it that causes it to stay attached to (or absorb into) the line, and noticably last for a month or more. What's the stuff that Frogs Fanny is made of? I've heard that you can buy that stuff by the 5lb. bag for next to nothing. Most everything in fly-fishing/fly tying is not made specifically for fly fishing....it is repurposed.
  15. What you need to do is kick off a WLM (Women's lives matter) firestorm. Guys can pee anywhere, but women need a restroom. They are being sexist and crude by not providing a place for women to tinkle....after being paid handsomely to do so. Ask them why they don't want women to be able to enjoy our outdoor recreational parks? You have to claim that someone, or some group, is a victim or else nobody will ever move to get anything done these days.
  16. Speaking of "line dressing".....Rio Agent-X is the best stuff on the market. Takes all night to apply it, but that is the real deal. I'd love to know what it really is because I want a gallon of it. Striper sperm, Turtle wax, and silicone?
  17. That peach DT is probably original 444. I have a 444SL WF that is nearing 10 years, and still fresh. On a trout rod of course. I haven't seen the end of the belly on THAT line since I spooled it on there. 🙄
  18. Yeah buddy. And from the looks of that blade work, that isn't that dude's first time. 😊👍
  19. What's the MPX all about? I wish SA made a short taper line similar to the Rio Outbound short.
  20. SA trout lines can last that long, or longer. My RIO warmwater lines though....3-4 years max. I don't bother with soap anymore, just hot steamy tap water and a dish towel.
  21. Well the seal isn't "dry", it has lube on the inside of it, right up to the sealing surface. No different than the front and rear main seal in your truck engine/transmission, or wheel bearing seals. But yeah.....just put the motor in gear and it won't spin anymore.
  22. What's all this cat hole digging nonsense? Are y'all just taking one step off the trail? I take a few more steps off the beaten path so that I can just drop it and walk away without having to play in it like a retarded monkey. The odds that somebody is gonna come along and step in it are so low that it would be hilarious if it actually happened.
  23. Man I wish we could have a sweet maid. I've tried several times, but I always end up with THIS...
  24. Are you missing a sock? 😅
