  1. 72 -------! Why are there 4 threads on 2 of the lightbulb sockets? That's BS! How are you supposed to figure their value?
  2. He found it in a Dr. Seuss book his girlfriend/fiance/wife turned him onto.
  3. I know that this is going to surprise everyone on this forum..... But this is completely over my head. 😎
  4. Yeah, if they actually run over your dock with their boat, or something. The whole "being responsible for your wake" thing has never held up in court. Truth of the matter is that it can't even be enforced inside of a designated No Wake area. You can get yelled and screamed at, and you can even get pulled over and have your boat searched, and get a sobriety check....but you will NOT get an actual citation for causing a wake. Or maybe you can....but I have sure never heard of it happening. Not ever.
  5. The hilarious part is that Lake O is literally too rough for wake boats. 😂
  6. Actually Gators can survive here. What they can't do is maintain a population, because even if a gator was to find a mate, and they did the wild thing.....all eggs would hatch as females. The sex of the hatchling depends on the number of days the egg is kept at a given temperature. Or something like that.
  7. The only way that can fly is if he pulled them over without any probable cause, in which case I gotta agree with the request that he go to hell. Too far away to come there to hassle someone who is not breaking the law? Good call, I like THAT guy. 👍
  8. Love those hair throwing skills ! 😅
  9. I think the only thing they are trying to keep secret is that they are full of BS.
  10. One with a LONG handle!
  11. James Watson is a close friend of one of my buddies, and he got me all fired up on the spooning docks thing for awhile. It's fun but it is also a dink game for the most part, regardless of how big your spoon is. I've personally never caught one bigger than 16" doing it. But you can get into pods of squeaker fish under the big docks that get all fired up after you catch a couple. Catching 10-12 fish on 15 pitches isn't uncommon at all. But only 1 or 2 might be a keeper. Late August-September seems to be the prime time for it.
  12. Did they put a tracking device on him? How do they know it's the same bear?
  13. No they are connected top and bottom, with the bottom ring being (I think) 2 sizes larger. I experimented with putting a hook on top also but that lessened the thump-thump-thump that you see/feel on the way down. You don't feel the bites, just jerk when the thumping stops. Which here on LO is usually before it falls 5-6 feet. It would probably work deeper with heavier spoons....or maybe 3 of them. These are fairly light, so with 15# line you loose touch with them after about 10ft.
  14. I can throw 50# bags of feed around all day long.....then dislocate my shoulder scooping ice cream. 🙄
  15. Wally was never recovered in the upper Gravois arm of Lake O. If still alive he should be pushing 8'.
  16. No they rattle against one another and flutter off to one side or away from you instead of straight down. The best boat dock spoon system ever. Not so good when the bites are coming deeper than 8-10 ft. but when fish are suspended fairly shallow under the docks.... it's a killer. Jann's Netcraft has all the goods, you can put together a dozen of them for about $25. You want the split ring on the bottom to be a size or two larger than the one on the nose of the spoons.
  17. Have y'all tried 2 spoons joined with oversize split rings? 👍
  18. Way to go @aarchdale@coresleep.com That was a fine unit! 👍
  19. I don't see how they'd work with bibs.
  20. @aarchdale@coresleep.com How did you stack up in the club derby? What did it take to win? I hope that fish makes new friends quickly in his new home. Hopefully ones that will show him where the nearest crawdad buffet is, and where all the hot sows like to be bedded down. 😅 Just think, tonight he's out there, lost, scared, and high/crashing on Rejuvenade. What a bad trip. Poor guy. 😟
  21. His name is Bob Ross. Because of the colors I guess.....I don't know. I have an 11y/o that names everything. Bob Ross can't be left in the pool by himself because Gerald (the horsefly) might bite him. So, he gets to hang out with me in the shop. 😎
  22. Yeah, it is. Like I was saying during the previous little contest, I had a couple of fish that I had to chase around the boat more than twice, and had them out of the water longer than I felt good about.
  23. I'm gonna say a 3. Up and down with one hand, stows away nice and tidy, and believe it or not they are a sonuvabitch to properly install. I know it looks simple. Trust me, it ain't. A four-runger is just gonna be worse. Always order wide, and squeeze it inward. Never stretch a skinny one outward. They won't collapse right if you do.
  24. Plus......if the mechanic did a piss poor job and I end up adrift, trolling motor battery goes dead, and I break my paddle..... I have a sail. 😅
  25. The heat is officially on! 👍
