  1. Speaking of USMC boot camp...... They've got it. Entire platoons are down currently.
  2. I also think that something to consider is that the majority of people worldwide do not eat healthy or exercise healthy. There's way too much poor diet and laziness going on. Aside from my enjoyment of cigarettes I am about as healthy as any 50+ person can be I think. If COVID19 takes me out then I can't imagine what I could have done to prevent it. Therefore I'm tired of worrying about it on a personal level. I'll sure do my part to keep from spreading it to those that might have weaker body's though.
  3. Because I'm into mountain biking and several other physically demanding activities.....and I'm also a SMOKER (Gawd forbid) I do deep breathing excersises every single day, multiple times a day. It's just a habit for me to do lung stretching excersises while sitting around, or when I'm doing paperwork or making phone calls. For someone that smokes I have some pretty good lungs. I feel like I can beat the COVID19, but I'd surely prefer to not test it. Besides there's a possibility that having it does permanent damage to your lungs.
  4. The back and forth thing is me wondering if me and Sugarbritches has already had it and gotten over it. Both of us, at different times, were down for several days. Her worse than me, she actually got scared and went to Urgent Care to get checked, but this was before COVID19 tests were a thing. I suffered through what I assumed at the time was a wicked chest cold, low grade fever, coughed until I thought I was going to pass out multiple times and walked around wheezing and trying to hack up loogeys (unsuccessfully) for over a week. We both thought it was extremely odd (and lucky?) that neither of the girls so much as even suffered a runny nose. I don't go to the doctor unless I'm on the verge of preparing a will, so who knows. Regardless if I had it or not, I sure don't want IT again, or anything even close to it, whether it be milder or worse. So I am taking full precautions, as much as reasonable. I still have stuff that I have to do either way. So as for doing my part in the social distancing program and wanting this threat to be gone.....hell yes I'm on board. Just because I have temporary moments of doubt doesn't mean I trust my judgement, or want anyone else to. Today I'm more concerned about the bungee bite on my face that won't heal than I am about COVID19, but tomorrow I'll be more concerned about Corona probably.
  5. Oh I'm watching and absorbing all the info daily, I'm definitely stressed out about it and being as careful as I can. The wife and kids are harder to get onboard because they have uncontrollable shopping habits that are worse than any drug depedancy I've ever seen, and there isn't a day goes by that they don't "NEED" something. My only point is that I can't blame anyone for brushing this off as just another crock of bull. Chicken Little has made multiple visits to all of our livingrooms. 🙄
  6. You panty sniffer! 😂
  7. Can you blame them? I mean, it ain't like the government and the media has never attempted to brainphuck us before. I go back and forth about it, and for what I consider a really good reason. It isn't cool to feed us full of BS 98% of the time.....and then wonder why a good number of people are skeptical when something REAL happens. I mean c'mon! 🤔
  8. Yessir, I've probably had between 20-30 of them over the years (taken in on trade) and I've never had to scrap one. Now that I think about it I don't think I ever had to replace the transom wood in one, and I've had some from the late '50's which I think were the 1st or second year of production (earlier ones were Appleby). The wood on the seats is another story, replaced plenty of those. They were the ORIGINAL fishing boats here at Lake O, every resort had a fleet of them, and there are still alot of them around. Good boats as long as you stay on your seat, they aren't very nice to get up and move around in. 😅

I ain't Googling "dog peckers". I'll just take your word for it. 👌
  10. You run 2 miles by truck, up to Casey's, unless you're lazy and don't mind fuel that's been sitting since last September.
  11. I don't get that deep there, the beavers are mean as hell and I wanna be able to get back on dry land ASAP.
  12. Yep, you need some trappers boots that are tough enough to walk through briars and rolls of barbed wire fence if you wanna wade in this place. Those high dollar Simms breathables won't last 10 steps.
  13. Yeah I dunno, but allegedly they have eliminated all traces of COVID19 within 4-5 days in 30+ people by giving them the combination of those 2 drugs. It has worked on everyone they tried it on so far. He acknowledged that "aintibiotics aren't recommended for viruses".....but then said "whatever... it's working!" Supposedly some retinal damage may come from the treatment, but that is reversable.
  14. Listen, I've seen those FEMA guys in action. Once it gets turned over to them it's all a game of beer pong and drunken horseshoes from that point on.
  15. Took the kid out for Bluegills on the fly today. The gills were social distancing, only one per tree, I assume because the clouds rolled in and covered up the sun. None of the big shouldered ones that this pond is known for. We'll try again when the sun comes back out.
  16. Supposedly the cure (a combination of 2 antibiotics) awaits approval.
  17. My Homeland is secured, no help from the government is needed as long as they will stay out of the way.
  18. I assume so, I seriously doubt it was Ameren. If they were going to do it THAT way then they should have at least went the right direction with the numbers, which would have the #1mm of the Niangua just down from Tunnel dam instead of being just up from Four Corners. Mile marks on a LAKE should mean miles from the dam.....not miles from the end of the stupid cove or lake arm. Mile marks on a river should be miles from the headwaters. Their ignorant system is neither.
  19. It was mayhem down at the ramp over the weekend. Busted props and skegs galore, and one boat completely sunk in the time it took the guy to park his truck.
  20. Are you sure it wasn't a gar?
  21. Oh God, here we go with the Realtor mile mark thingy again. Just shoot me now! Not sure how long you've been around Lake O, but just to save you future confusion and embarrassment there is no such place as "MM13 on the Niangua". That happens to be some ignorant crap that the association of realtors came up with, and then designed their own map because they didn't understand river and lake navigation....and apparently still don't. You are at MM-44N and here are 2 different REAL MAPS to prove it. 🙄
  22. You missed it. Went right over your head. 😅
  23. I'd be afraid to sleep in the same house as that. Remember The Blob ? 😳
