It will have to be pulled out to do regular maintenance (water pump/gear lube), so whether you pull it out or pay someone else to pull it out is up to you. I don't know what service calls and haulout fees run down there, but they are kinda pricey here at lake O.

Once your condition begins to noticably improve it's a pretty safe bet that enough antibiotic remains in your system to finish the job. Continuing to take antibiotics when there's no actual need for them is hard on your bones, teeth, and other things that I've conveniently forgotten about. Hell I don't know, I'm just sharing my interpretation of what I remember my momma telling me. 🤔 I haven't needed a doctor for over 40 years, so it has worked ok for me. 😊

Turd Polishing
fishinwrench replied to MrGiggles's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Probably need a clutch dog AND a forward gear. If it was just ratcheting in Reverse then you could get by with a clutch alone. The thing that's going to bum you out, is that anytime you replace FWD gear you should replace the pinion gear as well. You don't HAVE TO...... but you should. In some cases you can't even buy a forward gear by itself, it comes as a gearset (fwd & pinion). The thing to do is disassemble the gearcase, examine the clutch and examine the shift cogs on the inside ring of the fwd gear. -
The karma people aren't allowed to discuss my case with you. We have a contract.

Good catch. This is why I'm not a doctor.😂 Well that, and I have good handwriting.

Continuing to take them after your condition is headed in the right direction can make antibiotics less effective next time. The reason they tell you to take them until they are gone is to keep old aged medicine out of medicine cabinets.... because overly aged antibiotics can cause some pretty wicked allergic reactions in some people. If they told you to just throw them away they know that nobody would do it. That crap about the virus coming back STRONGER if you don't take the full prescription is BS. Sorry that a stupid boat mechanic had to be the one to teach you that. 😁

Yep, and apparently Influenza A is pretty mild and only lasts less than 2 days... because she's obviously fine today, been running around all over town shopping and has picked up her grandkids for the weekend.

Darn few. I order it as I need it. I've heard that there's already a backorder on Optimax compressors and tracker valve diaphragms. So I'll be taking down-payments on anything Merc that has to be ordered. I'm not gonna tie up thousands of MY operating dollars waiting on delivery. My suppliers are famous for taking your money BEFORE telling you that the part is backordered.

I've got way more good Karma owed to me than bad. 😁 So whenever we can start tallying that up and cashing it in, I'm ready. 😊

Well, as sad/sick/twisted as it is to say out loud......leave it to me to blurt it out.....There IS a population problem that needs to be reckoned with, and the breeders aren't slowing down any.

It's ok, because the only reason why they wouldn't is because they think I'm 100% full of $#!t. They are brainwashed by fake news. 😊

I've had a snotty nose and have been sneezing for 3-4 days, feel fine otherwise. My wife's "friend" had the same exact thing going on.... and of course she went to the doctor 2 days ago. They claim she has influenza A 🙄 Gimme a freakin' break ! A runny nose with no fever or loss of appetite isn't the GD flu. I absolutely hate the medical profession, they are more full of BS than biologists and all these other certified knuckleheads that I'm always ranting about. It's so frustrating 😫
-
What?!?! Biological warfare? It's time to launch a missle ! 😁

I try to tell Sugarbritches that all the time. The reason colds spread during the winter is because everyone is cuddled up together inside where it's warm. When the kids get home from school the first thing I say is "Hi babe, how was your day?" "Good! Wash your hands".

I hear comments all the time from guys that read the forum (seems like daily) but never to my knowledge have posted. None of them that I know are big-time meat hunters, they're just looking for a new place to go have fun. The real meat hunters around here are all about crappie, big cats, and spoonbill, and they can have all of them that they want as far as I'm concerned. They don't care about eating creek smallies, and would probably fail if they tried to nail down the Spring Whites. If somebody learns something useful from one of my posts then GOOD! That's what it's all about.

Lake of the Ozarks is premier bass destination
fishinwrench replied to John Neporadny Jr.'s topic in Lake of the Ozarks
Speaking of Dick's..... that's where I go first. I don't need any assistance, I know what I'm there to get, and if they don't have it then I order it online. I'd support a family business type tackle shop if I felt that stopping in there was appreciated. At least the cuties at Dick's say Hello when you walk in, and are friendly during checkout. And you don't have somebody silently eyeballing you from across the store to make sure you aren't stealing anything.🙄 -
Totally agree. I'm not going to be concerned about it until someone I know personally comes down with it. And I may not believe it THEN. I'll initially suspect a misdiagnosis.

Lake of the Ozarks is premier bass destination
fishinwrench replied to John Neporadny Jr.'s topic in Lake of the Ozarks
We don't have any good tackle shops around lake O anymore. There are 2 in Osage Beach that are decently stocked, but have you ever walked into a business where the people working it acted as if you coming in there interrupted whatever they were about to do.....and they just want you to hurry up and leave so they can get back to it ? That's the vibe in both of them. Reminds me of a Honda motorcycle shop in Gainesville Georgia that I walked into once with a pocketful of cash looking to immediately buy a XR250R dirt bike. They had 2.....but wouldn't sell me one. It was freakin' odd/awkward as hell. I later found out (after the MLK birthday riot in Atlanta) that the Honda shop was a front for the klan. Ahhh, now I get it! 🤔 -
My reaction actually came from both of your posts. The first one I read indicated that you fished the river and according to your numbers it seemed apparent that a recent stocking had been made, and you also mentioned catching a few Smallies one of which was a real sweetheart. To me that meant you were at least below the island. (cuz there's darn few smallmouth between the park and the island). Then I see the next post....and it looked like the PARK (Suzy hole to be exact). I don't recall there being a bench by the park boat ramp....but apparently there is, I don't hang out there because the signs say you're not supposed to use the ramp. 🙄 I was actually a little let down because I had hoped that a river stocking had happened.....but finding a group of trout at the mouth of the spring branch isn't an indicator of that happening, at all. Then it occurred to me that.....Wait a minute, the park is definitely closed....and here's a dude with a chunk smallie and a rattle trap in its mouth, at the SUZY HOLE! 😂 I couldn't care less myself, to be honest, you can throw crankbaits in the park when it's closed all you want as far as I'm concerned....but I didn't want you to get busted for mistakenly throwing up a dated pic on a public forum and getting narc'd on.

We recovered a boat once that had sat in 18-20' from late October until the following May (6-7 months). Winched it up very slowly, keeping it as level as we could so that once the gunnels were above water we could throw pumps in it to make it float again. There was 7-8" of sludge covering the boat when it came up. That's only after 7 months. Imagine what's covering areas that have been submerged since the 1930's. 😝 In case you're wondering.....YES I made the motor run again. 💪😎👍

Deductive reasoning. Aqua view. And I have friends/customers that dive alot.

Yep. In most places the bottom is fairly clean down to 12-15ft. (I assume from wake action and occasional current movement) but the generator intakes at the dam are at an elevation of 645 top-637 bottom, so the very deepest current capable of scouring the bottom when the lake is at max full pool can only be 23', and it is only going to be that deep within a stones throw of the dam.

First guess: Triton. 2nd guess: Stratos. 3rd guess: Tidecraft/Cobra. I bet that SeaArk is a scooter!

I did the fries. 😊 Last night's Gumbo was 94% all me though.
