  1. That's just what we need here at Sims Marine ..... A Democrat Safety Inspector 😂
  2. Let's see YOU try to concentrate on something while a flying needle is homing in on your eyeballs ! Little bastards ! There's no need to put out feeders if you have Mimosa trees like we do. They love those things.
  3. That's exactly what I'm afraid of !!!! 😳
  4. If you ever want to lose your love for hummingbirds, just make it a daily routine to run your outboard on a garden hose while you try to work on it. Something about that either puts them into attack mode, or makes them hungry....and they think your eyeballs are delicious flowers. IMO there is nothing cute or desirable about #@!?*"#@ HUMMINGBIRDS ! 😠
  5. His commentary after the Crocodile hunter was killed is etched in my brain forever.
  6. I can only think of a couple of things that would suck worse than having to dress a limit of squirrels with one hand, on a 90° day. Ya know, that gas station across from the church has big, fat, delicious roast beef/pepper jack sandwiches for $2.79 😋
  7. There is 2 ways to locate White bass and Hybrids. You can map out a milk run of points, humps, and flats. Not staying long at any stop and fishing fast until one hammers your bait....then stay and work them for all they are worth. Or... You can be lazy and idle around casually with a big glass of iced tea and some snacks, and just study the surface of the water for activity. If you have binoculars, use them. After a day or two of this relaxing excersise, you'll quickly learn how to detect "nervous water". The thing about schools of temperate bass is that even when they are gorging 15+feet deep....they still almost always create some kind of a surface disturbance, or a slick spot amongst otherwise slightly choppy water.
  8. These ugly little bastards right here will get you bit pretty much anywhere. 😊
  9. Lots of things that even more important people have drawn up in the past.....has been sold to the highest bidder, and deleted as well. Seems to be the American way. Does it not? 🤔
  10. It does look pretty when dry, but Ostrich is a piss poor material for any dry fly. That's a one time use/one fish fly if I've ever seen one. Useless after a single soaking. Substitute the ostrich with some heavily treated synthetic dubbing......and you might have something. 👍
  11. From somebody's garden I hope, and not field corn. I made that mistake once, from a Dakalb/Monsanto badged field. Never again. "Corn is corn" I said. 😢
  12. FWIW, all parts are still available for that 1972 fitty. 👍 You can't say that for a 2012 Mercury 50 🙄
  13. You could pay the pastor and pray that you never need a cop. Results would be the same. 😏
  14. Tramp! Dumped me after I fisted her. 🙄
  15. What a coinkydink ! 👍🤟💪😁
  16. I suppose that many are like me. I've lived 57 years, in small towns, medium sized towns, and big city's, and I've never needed a cop. And the few times when someone I know could have used one....they were either absent or arrived too late to be of any use. When trying to think of a more useless profession...... I find myself having a hard time thinking of one. Pastor maybe?.....but you're not forced to pay that guy.
  17. So he got the memo, to get the hell outta Dodge, hu? 🤔 Good thing 👍
  18. He was hanging out right in the middle of them. Mixed company, so to speak. If you hooked that 17" green bass to one of those 13" stripers.....the striper could literally drag him backwards across the lake. Guarantee it. 😅
  19. On the menu tonight, was baby Stripers. 🤗 And this ugly thing.
  20. That comment reminded me of an article in a fly-fishing rag about "Spruce moths". Complete with a fly pattern to match them. It was at that point that I realized that flyfishing magazines had run out of things to write about.
  21. I could get pretty confident with that in waters with lots of fat caddis. In all of my years fishing Missouri rivers/streams I've only gotten to truly partake in a caddis hatch ONCE, and a simple tobacco colored soft-hackle did the job just fine.
  22. Situation kinda goes next level when you're 5+ miles offshore (to far to swim) in shark infested water. I've been in some wicked squalls....but there was always the option of getting myself to the bank....and to hell with the stupid boat ! That's what insurance is for.
  23. What would be even more hilarious is to name a person after a fly. You should change your screen name to Fudpucker. 😂
  24. I have a collection of flys that, to the unawakened eye, look like hell. Or at the very least....like nothing special at all....until you have a few days hammering fish on them. Then they suddenly become beautiful pieces of perfection. I had a "Dahlberg Diver" that wasn't tied very well, and looked like something a cat had thrown up. I tied it on my kids tippet, figuring that she'd loose it in a tree within the first 10 minutes. She proceeded to put on a clinic with that thing, and then when it finally fell completely apart she demanded that I tie her a dozen more just like it. I honestly couldn't tie another one stupid enough to suit her. 🙄
