  1. She may have set the hook..... but I bet THE COACH was heavily involved. 😉
  2. Survival rate of tournament released fish seems to be pretty good, but where they go and how they readjust hasn't been confirmed. The only release site tracking I am aware of was done up north on a mediocre sized relatively shallow bowl shaped natural lake where the fish could just cruise the bank and end up back where they came from within a couple days. That obviously isn't going to be the case on a highland reservoir. It's pretty obvious, and confirmed by the findings of THIS study that fish released where they were caught go right back to where they were caught from. So there's no denying that they relate heavily to their home area. On lakes with shad EVERYWHERE, a relocated fish is likely to just find another bass or two to hang out with, and just suspend out over open water. That theory is pretty well confirmed by crappie fishermen pulling crankbaits out in the middle of nowhere.....they catch 3-5 pound bass routinely within a few miles of the boat ramps that have sores on their jaws and along their sides. No doubt they are tournament released fish that are just completely lost. Cruising around out there with the white bass and stripers is NOT typical LMB behavior....but they are adaptable and learn to make a living however they possibly can. That's MY assessment, but so far there's been no study to confirm it. What I'd really like to know, but probably never will, is whether those relocated fish EVER establish a new home range and resume typical black bass behavior, or whether they just remain pelagic from that point on. Because if a guy could just figure out a way to somehow pattern free roaming lost bass....he could 100% CLEAN UP on the tournament trails. I'd quit my job and go back to full-time tournament fishing if I could figure it out.
  3. You are officially THE Lunkerhunter of the age. Fine job!
  4. Freakin'miserable! 😔
  5. I didn't get to fish today but I'll get out there eventually. What's our deadline? (I forgot and can't find the thread where you listed it) I fished all day last Tuesday in the sleet and rain, caught 30+ shorts.....and never touched a single keeper. So there's that. Hopefully I can stay more focused, and make better choices if I'm not wet, freezing cold, and on the verge of a nicotine fit. 😅
  6. They'd better be careful broadcasting their findings, or they'll blow tournament weigh-in fishing completely apart. One can only hope 😎 You'll notice that they don't speak much about fish that are relocated, they only speak about fish that are released immediately back into their home area where they were initially captured. The politics of tournament weigh-in fishing is exactly why .....they ain't goin' there. 🙄
  7. He never answers the phone. Probably mistook you for one of his angry girlfriends. 😉
  8. Naw, the people against Trump are becoming downright weird, and honestly...a tad scary. I don't understand it. They seem desperate and scared for reasons I don't understand. They don't give a crap which God you worship, or whether you worship any God at all.... but yet will wish you dead if you display a political preference that is different from theirs. Crazy business! Just for the record, I don't vote. So whoever anyone wants to be president..... I'm no threat either way. ✌️
  9. Wow indeed! Somebody obviously "reported it". Are we really that petty around here? Maybe it just got moved to the Political forum.
  10. You can't remember what your doctors said 10 minutes ago, but the stupid $#!t that I say sticks like glue. How does THAT work? Maybe your doctors need speaking lessons from yours truly. I'm sure those smart fellas can figure out a way to write-off my fees. 😊 Feel free to give them my number for consultation, and I'll forward them my Vinmo account info. 👍 I'll give you a 15% cut for the referral. 😊
  11. They don't leave visible bite marks on me either. They just make me feel like my skin is crawling. Actually it feels like they are crawling around UNDER my skin. It's like they crawl into your pores and just have a party in there.
  12. In all seriousness.....If a virus from a bat in China thins out the population in the U.S. and several other countries, then maybe it's for the best. There's no denying that overpopulation is a bad thing, and leads to disease and death for a reason. You all are always bitching about how crowded everything is. It's freakin'miserable out there rubbing elbows with "my fellow man" all day, every day. I love ya... but let's face it, I'm sick of you all as a whole. And you're sick of me too. So let's get on with it, what are you scared of? I mean most of you are all going to heaven if you die, right? Hallelujah baby! ☝️😘
  13. Exactly. Of all the deadly diseases out there, you hear absolutely nothing about any of them since COVID entered the room. Did they all just go away?
  14. We'll see. Give it 3-4 weeks and we can hash it out again, if you want. The only "health professionals that are freaking out" are the ones being put on the news. There are many MANY more truly professional people in the health care field that aren't "freaking out" at all. I suspect that your intellect on this subject is severely bias. It's because you are scared and wanna be careful, I understand. But you're scared because you were MADE SCARED. You're not scared because of any REAL reason. Guess how many people died needlessly from being shot since last February? How do you feel about banning all firearms? Do you even own a Kevlar vest? Maybe you should. Seriously..... it's a growing epidemic, with a much higher death rate than Covid. Whatever though, we'll revisit this in a month and see where we are at. If I haven't died from Corona by then.
  15. There's a lot of great people working for MDC, no doubt about it. They've got alot on their plate, but I don't sympathize with them because it's all self induced. With as many people as they have on their payroll it would be great to see more attention given to the things I truly care about. I know, selfish, but seriously...they spend(waste) too much time and money on Feel-Good BS, and not nearly enough on TRUE Conservation and game management. To the point that they really should consider changing the name of their organization.
  16. Yeah, you gotta wash your hands. 😁
  17. That's a trailer park wine cooler.
  18. My in-laws are from Nebraska, but I don't blame their douchebaggery on their geography. I blame it on vodka and gin.....and long winter's. One thing they do know about, is how to pick out a better snow shovel. That Kubota gets it done! Drunk or sober.
  19. No, I stay away from Michelob Ultra and Wine coolers. Pretty convinced that 2 of either of those will have you bent over a coffee table or a porch rail.
  20. I have one of those on the wall in the shop, but it goes through periodic hic-cups so I don't know when to trust it or not. My overpriced Snap-On temp gun is right on the money with a melting skift of ice on my test tank, and also with a pan of barely-boiling water when testing thermostats.....So I rely on that as an "accurate enough" synchronization tool. Even though the boiling test is subjective and dependant on your elevation. In fishing it is more important than you might think. I've honestly seen 2° make all the difference in the world during early Spring and late Fall.
  21. I haven't had an injection since my last tetanus shot over 30 years ago. And probably didn't need that one either. My "medical records" don't even exist. I couldn't even tell you what my blood type is.
  22. They do "some" good things, but for the most part MDC seems to be mostly concerned with creating projects for themselves that can't be deemed a failure regardless of the outcome, or the amount of money spent. Grossly over equipped, and overpaid, for the amount of things that they accomplish IMO.
  23. My sympathies, but listen.....You can't go shutting the entire world down because someone has a bad reaction to a tick bite or bee sting. The whole Covid ordeal is beginning to look like an immune deficiency type thing. How else do you explain all the positive tests with little to no symptoms? Maybe a study of the lifestyle and eating habits of the folks that have died from the stupid thing is in order. I mean, maybe Gluten and Tobacco isn't so bad for ya after all. 🤷 Who knows.
  24. To within 000.02° of the accepted temperature measurements that water freezes and boils. You know a better, more accurate way? Would love to hear it, so I could have yet another reason to bash a scientist.
  25. Lowrance units can be synchronized. My units (3) are all set 100% accurate, synchronized to actual REAL temperature (within 000.02 degrees). I'm anal that way. 😊
