It isn't my favorite thing either, to be honest. I kinda reserve "River fishing" for a way to fish while distancing myself from outboard motors. Wading or paddling somewhere, being able to fish and not see or hear a motorboat for a whole day (or weekend) is a REALLY nice break for me sometimes. I kinda feel sorry for guys that get all depressed when their boat is going to be down for a few weeks, because to them that means they can't go fishing. Their brain has blocked out the fact that FISHING doesn't require owning a stupid BOAT.

It qualifies for kicking MY butt. In the BR streams I can only claim a couple of 18+ inchers from NFOW, and a 22" from the Current (but I know the Current river fish wasn't stream bred).

It's a natural progression I think. Every fly fisherman in this part of the country goes through a phase where they get all misty-eyed about little stream bred rainbows. When I went through it I built a sweet little 7'6" 3wt and had a special waist pack loaded with gear for chasing "wild rainbows", and even carried a flask of Dickle's sippin' whiskey and a pinch hitter to celebrate every catch. I used to smoke alot of Columbian Gold back then 😎 Georgia and Tennessee ruined me on itty bitty trout streams. Missouri just can't compare.

Whenever they can't, or won't, openly answer a basic question like that..... doesn't it make you ponder crazy conspiratorial things? It does me. There should be a simple explanation that everyone can easily understand. But they'd rather keep everyone confused and thinking that their job is so VERY complicated that you can't possibly grasp it. 🙄 Sure seems to me that they are tempting fate.

G2 should auto trim at the best bite angle. Not sure how the software can determine that with a jet pump (probably can't). Any jet pump equipped outboard is gonna bark considerably more than a propped lower. Open exhaust.

It would be a cool accomplishment for my youngest kid who is just getting started with fly-fishing. Too bad she can't drive yet. I'll taxi her for a bronze, she can go for the gold after she gets her license. 😊

This one is a dingleberry. He is very obedient when someone has something to eat. Here he is waiting for the kids to get home from school This isn't because he just loves and misses them so much.....it is because he knows the first thing they do when they get home is make a sandwich.

I'd lie about it before I would drive 400 miles just to catch a couple 7" rainbows. I already know for a fact that we're all capable of doing it, so who would be impressed by it? 😅 What is the actual accomplishment there ? That you can drive and find the place?

Not too wild about the rigging (mounting washers hanging over the transom line), and a bit more porposing than I would expect. Maybe a heavy trolling motor will smooth that out. Leave it to me to find something wrong. 😁

One of my wife's acquaintances (I refuse to call her a "friend") was on 13 different medications. After a big argument I proved to both of them that 11 of the 13 were placebos (basically nothing but vitamin supplements) and told her to throw them away, cancel her appointment's and buy a bag of oranges. She had no choice but to agree with me, but since the VA covers all her expenses (except the gas and wear & tear on her vehicle going back and forth to Columbia every week) she insists on continuing to take them all, and 2 months later now has 15 prescriptions to refill every 6 weeks. Absolutely rediculous! At what point does physical health become mental health ?

People are always in a big hurry to heal, which is understandable, so they get impatient and seek help from doctors and medicine. I'm a big believer that your body can heal itself in most instances.....if you just be patient and let it. Doctors are great for broken bones and severe lacerations, but they are pretty much a crapshoot with anything else. So far I've avoided a knee surgery, shoulder surgery, and eye surgery for a detached retina (what an ordeal THAT was gonna be!). I suffered considerably, for a bit, but all 3 of those cronic issues fixed themselves with a good diet, some sensible excersise, and more TIME than was convenient.....but I feel that I'm better off now (100%) than I would be if I had elected to follow through with the recommended "procedures". I don't have to baby the knee, or the shoulder at all, and the eye is better than it was before whatever happened, happened.

How, (praytell) do they do that? 🤔 I am good for 7 (silver), but don't even care to visit the other two, the same 2 as Al, so I doubt that I ever will.

Put it in Reverse and drop the gearcase, see if there's not a coupler down low on the shift shaft exposed when you do that. Should be a 10mm screw......or a roll pin.

There are 3 different shift shaft configurations on Suzuki's. Which one does yours have? And.....Has it ever been in saltwater? By looking at the pic you posted I wanna say that yours has the low coupler, shift shaft separates after you drop the gearcase 3". 10mm screw. It doesn't separate up top. I may be wrong though.

Try moving the motor tilt pin out a hole (or maybe two). So that the exhaust tube is more parallel with the side strake on the gunnel.
