  1. SC II 5'6" rod blanks are cheap, and available. And the Falcon blank is just IM6 graphite, also cheap and available. But I mean whatever. Just trying to inject a little common sense. Carry on 😉
  2. Prayer. Now you know why I'm an atheist. 😂
  3. I can't count the number of good fish I've lost because of split-ring failure. But in fairness, nobody can 🙄 That would be like counting the number of times a hot naked MILF parachuted into my boat and squirted on my trolling motor pedal.
  4. Nope, and nobody needs proof of insurance, kill switches, PFD's, livewell checks, or polygraph results either. If you feel you were cheated just settle it with a fist fight in the parking lot. 😊
  5. If you want another 3" off the rear handle just carefully whack 3" off with a hacksaw blade. Then carefully cut off 1/2" of just the cork.... leaving the blank uncut. Sand off the exposed blank and build a cap. Put the reel on and see how the rig balances, add weight to the cap or shove some lead up into the end of the blank to balance it out the way you like it....Then epoxy the new cap on. 3 beers max 😊 and 2.50 worth of materials. Removing the reel seat and all is just nuts, way better to buy a blank and build a new rod from the ground up. Reel seats and handles are fitted from the tip down. Doing it backwards is gay.
  6. What's the hourly rate of a custom rod builder these days, about 4.50/hr. ? 🤔 Do it yourself or buy a new rod. Neither of those 2 blanks are worth all that IMO.
  7. Please do. If your review is positive I'll be ordering some of that stuff to use for tippet material. And maybe even to spin a complete tapered leader out of. Does it float or sink ?
  8. You nailed it. Now quit pretending that you don't know what your doing. 😁
  9. At least he lives in suburbia and has an excuse. We have veteran lake dwellers here that don't know a crankbait from a crappie jig, but will still insert themselves into a conversation about fishing.
  10. Well, you see, there's this one spot on this one body of water, where they figured something out one day. 😂 That's ME on Gravois Creek. When I come strutting down the hill everyone around here knows that "School is Now In Session". 😎
  11. People that pretend to not understand why anyone would go fishing if they don't intend to keep any, are irritating. If I kept every legal sized fish that I caught, and then immediately stopped fishing when I got a limit, then I wouldn't be fishing very often. A couple fish dinners per month is good but I don't want fish for dinner every single night....or even once every week, to be honest. Just consider C&R as PRACTICE. Successful Hunters practice at the range. Gardeners practice too.
  12. Some of the wireless TM's are indeed noisy above water, but I've run right up in the vicinity of spooky carp, and have watched bass in clear shallow water less than 20 feet away, and they don't act freaked out about the noise of the motor turning at all. Drop your little remote fob thingy on the floor of the boat though....and they'll bolt off right away. 😊
  13. So your leader is going to be 3 times thicker than your main line ? Why would you wanna do that? What color is the Nanobraid? Just camouflage it with ink if it's bright white or something.
  14. Really? That would be 8x You're not gonna find smaller mono/flouro than that. And if you did it would be 1lb. test or less. Something that is 8x and 4# test, or 5x and 10#test would be great, I want some of that ! Wonder how the knot strength and abrasion resistance is?
  15. Quite a few have been fishing it during this nice weather. Some decent bass and crappie are being caught, but I haven't heard of anyone doing well on Cats or Hybrids.
  16. At 2:30am it's very dark and she's obviously not making solid choices. 😊
  17. #6 with 1/50oz. eyes for spring runners up in the creeks. #4 with 1/40oz. eyes for Summer/Fall shad chasers out over bigger water with a sink tip line. Mustad 3366 bronze, or 34007 stainless Always use a loop knot on a Clouser. 8# flouro tippet.
  18. I already know how that would work out. 😁 Immediate room change !!!! 😊 Santa Clause is on his own!
  19. We have another kid going off to college soon, and the debate regarding the freed up room has already began. 1. Man cave/dog house? 2. Craft room? 3. Guest room and general storage area to eliminate clutter throughout the rest of the house? Any really good ideas on how I can make it less desirable for options 2 and 3 would be appreciated. 😊
  20. You thought you were wrong once.... but you were mistaken?

    Cast iron

Cat's are much better prepared in a Wok.

    Cast iron

Well if all it takes is one cycle through a dishwasher to screw it all up.....Who the heck would want it ? 😂

Y'all are rediculous 🙄 I would like to host a fried egg challenge. An egg fried in 3 different skillets....and you tell me which one was cooked in PROPERLY PAMPERED cast iron. 😎 Next we'll do the fried tater challenge.
  24. A 1442 is a dandy hull for a solo Jon, or for a man and his dog, pairs up nicely with a 9.9 - 15 hp outboard and a 36-45 lb thrust trolling motor. Taking someone else along will only be slightly cramped. 12ft and smaller Jon boats are ok for kids on a farm pond, nothing else.
