  1. A GP Zoom finesse worm on a Brewer slider head will definitely catch them. Anything similar will likely be just as good.
  2. Take about 20 steps upstream from the mouth of the spring branch. Throw something worm-like into that shelfrock deep hole there. Or, drop in at Prosperine, paddle up about 100 yards and fish something worm-like around the boulders and wood cover on river-right.
  3. Nothing wrong with breathing cool fresh air all night for a good night's sleep. We have a real nice hammock on our deck and I'll sleep in it out there if it stays warmer than 45-50°
  4. I don't do any of it, but the guys that do persue big cats here on the lake do really well during mid-Winter, mostly on flats in 15-18'.
  5. Well yeah they had to have been tagged in the hatchery. Otherwise how would they have captured them to put transmitters on them? I believe they were sub-legal fish, and probably died after being snagged, ripped to pieces, and released.
  6. It's the whole county line thing.
  7. You're talking about biologist's that have to keep coming up with projects to keep themselves on the payroll. 🙄
  8. You need to keep your mouth shut and get a wingman.
  9. Yeah cuz a compressor is way outside the budget. We can arm wrestle after I get sighted in. 💪😊
  10. Are you calling me a 2-headed Rat Snake, you 3-peckered Billy Goat ? 😖
  11. Oh I'm all for it. The more time that guys spend sitting over the deeper schools of fish, the less pressure gets put on the shallow ones.
  12. Nooooo. I don't ask for things like that, I just get them and call it "parts" when UPS pulls in. She doesn't know one gun from the next, and if ever questioned I can just claim that they miraculously reproduce the same way that Shoes, 31 bags, Lularoe leggings, and Coach purses do. 😊
  13. Hate to be the first crabby ol'fart to say it, but technology is going to really screw up a good thing. About 4 days of that and most guys are going to get tired of it and move on to other things. Mark my word. Fishing is like many other things....once you master it you quickly lose the drive to keep doing it.
  14. I dig the format, but it's kinda like golf....fun to play but boring to watch.
  15. Noway!!! She's the Cashew Brittle queen, I ain't letting nothing happen to her if I can help it. I don't think she ever went more than knee deep the whole time. I had her properly scared of the ocean critters before she ever left the house. 😁
  16. I had to let the Outdoor Network go. Too much deer hunting and other boring crap, it just wasn't worth it to me. Nothing is more boring than watching some dude whisper in a tree stand for 30 minutes. 🙄
  17. Several folks last Spring reported snagging spoonbill that had radio transmitters attached to them. Supposedly MDC said they weren't theirs.... but who else would have/could have done it? You'd think if it was theirs that they'd want them back.....so who knows.
  18. This is why I stay within my 5 county area most of the time. I'm safe here, and the only thing I have to be afraid of are spiders that are quarter size and larger.
  19. I knew you'd pounce on those ! 😄
  20. How do you feel about guys that try to test the Rev limiter when trailering a boat?
  21. The part that blows my mind is that the lakes they throw trout in have bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish.....but nobody gets excited about fishing there until they dump TROUT in it. Well, trout in stillwater don't fight that hard, and we all know that they taste like rotted clams, so why not instead of pissing money away hauling trout to those lakes don't they just do a better job managing the bass/crappie/bluegill/catfish that can help sustain themselves ? Those fish bite in the winter too !
  22. I've pretty much heard/read everything he has said publicly, but I've never heard him credit God for his success....Only for his salvation. It's sad (to me) that others, so much more deserving, aren't given the same. The Lord is mysterious AF !
  23. I'd love to tease you about that, but I'm more scared of spiders than you probably are of snakes. If I want to pick up a rock or a log, I can't just pick it up.... There is this process that I have to go through, because there's ALWAYS a demon under it that has to be flushed away (exorcised) first.
  24. You can learn a lot about trout behavior and catching them in the outlets. Hopefully you move on and put that to work away from the outlets. That should be tip #1
