    I just went out and checked P-line flouroclear 6#, Seaguar InvisX 10#, and P-line CX premium green 8# and 12# and on each there is a difference you can feel when pulling it through the caliper jaws....but it's less than .001" Interesting to note that the CX premium (which is actually a co-poly) does not get thinner when you stretch it out real tight. The others all do by about .002 and it takes them about 30-40 seconds to fatten back up. Any idea how the CX can retain its diameter when stretched? How can that be?

    Have you ever checked a length, say 10ft, of standard mono/flouro to see if the diameter is consistent ? Supposedly "tippet material" is a grade above regular old line. I would claim that I don't buy into the BS but I've bought too many spools of tippet material @ .50 per yard.

    Y'all are bite killers. Everytime I go fishing with someone from here we practically get skunked. As long as there's plenty of beer and snacks though I'm pretty much up for it anytime. 😊

    That's a good point. If you don't have your cell phone then you can't call to tell anyone where you are anyway.....so what good is knowing what mile marker you are at? I'm so old school though, if you were to text me GPS coordinates I wouldn't know what to do with them.

    I think it's safe to say that anyone that claims they have something to "announce" ....is obviously going with MLF. Otherwise there's nothing to announce.

    Unless you dive in head first with perfect form you'll be fine taking a plunge in waders. As you go down the air is all pushed out and the waders are tight to your body, so there's no rushing in of water. A wading belt and a wading jacket over the top of the waders..... I've been in over my head a couple times and was blown away at how dry I was when I emerged like a hatching drake. Head and arms were soaked, shirt was damp, but everything below my titties was dry as a bone.

    I don't at the present time. Trailers of all kinds really sell fast. If I could weld better (and had a place to dump old junk fiberglass boats) I would get alot deeper into the trailer business.

    Truly enjoyed hanging out with ya, and hope we can do it again sooner than later. The fish are biting a little better now. A buddy and I had a very respectable outing Sunday evening (4 better than average keepers and a bunch of shorts), and we didn't do anything any different than you and I did Friday.

    It is not a law for paddlecraft. Should be common sense though if you are in an area that is thick with motorboats. But then again, there's the argument that if you can't see a guy in a kayak then you can't see trees, logs, and other obstacles either.....so maybe we have no business out there operating above idle speed anyway.

    I don't have any trouble seeing a regular sized boat after dark, but small Jon boats and kayaks have surprised me a number of times.

    Well, of you ever have to pull the intake, go ahead and pop the tiny little screens off the ends of the injectors and pitch them in the trash. Why Merc did that is a mystery to me. I mean....if it's small enough to pass through an injector...then go ahead and let the motor eat it and spit it out, don't hold it back and allow it to block fuel/oil spray into the cylinder !!!! WTF were they thinking?

    Might oughta remove the trim tab and be sure the "most important gearcase bolt" is under there. Without that one, all the others will vibrate loose. I see those missing quite often after somebody's neighbor serviced the water pump.

    None of the ones around here ever have lights. Never. It makes me mad too. The dude I nearly mowed over last year acted like it was no big deal and that I was just overreacting. I mean how stupid do you gotta be?
