IMO a spinnerbait rod needs to be less than 7' for all day one-handed accurate pitch-casting. Doing that all day with a 7'+ rod would be a wrist and forearm killer.

Yeah that was quite a contradictory project. A year and a half prior there was a lengthy inspection and the reported results were: "She's as strong as ever, still anchored solidly to bedrock, no concerns about earthquakes or sink holes, all leaks are intentional to relieve pressure and are controlled. Dam surface erosion is inevitable and is easily patched. No problems here at all". Now all of a sudden they're concerned about shifting and adding additional anchors. 🤔 Truman dam is the one that concerns me most. If that sucker went, just imagine the mess we'd have!
