I just try to make common sense out of everything. When things happen that don't make sense to me, I ask questions. I am 63 years old, and have lived through several end of the worlds, so I feel semi qualified to ask questions. For example, I spent the better part of an hour searching for a reliable source to track the corona death rate in the USA. CDC only updates their page at noon Mon thru Fri. Where does the medial get all their data 24/7???. For that matter, where do you guys get your data?

our area schools just announced a shut down, starting Wednesday??? Huh? If this thing is expanding exponentially as advertised, a 2 day delay is essentially useless.

don't have a clue and don't believe one single word being written by anyone. I do know that the CDC reports that 15,000+ people have died in the USA because of the Flu this winter. I wonder how many have died in China because of the flu?

there is something that can be done to help minimize both the White and Osage River floods and reservoir releases, but that "something" will never be done in today's environment. I could go into detail into the overall operation plans and how every release of every lake in the Mississippi River drainage basin has effects from here to New Orleans. MoPan has done a very good job of explaining it, so need to keep explaining since everyone seems to have their own Master Water Control Plan. The "something" I refer is more flood control lakes, not just in our area, but throughout the entire Mississippi drainage. That would give people so many more scenarios to gripe about how they are getting screwed by dam operators that discussions would never end. By the way, it is forecast to rain tomorrow.

you can read a lot of stuff. And I read more stuff than most people. But I sometimes wonder if what we are reading is actually true or someone's idea of what the truth should be. My granddad always said "the world is going to hell in a hand-basket" We are still here.

ah, 1993. Fished a tournament the last weekend of September at LOZ. Fished a buzzbait around Satellite dishes in Proctor Creek, had a good tournament. Left there and then went to Stockton for a week for a year end tournament. 25 feet high. Won a boat fishing Johnson Grass on a hill top. The 25 foot rise made the lake a level playing field, and with 5 days to practice I felt like a local! Good memories.

New years day 2000 I was at Montauk, also dreading a Y2K call about computer crashes at work. It was a semi warm day, the trout were biting, and I finally got the guts to call the office at 3 pm to learn that nothing bad happened.

yes the fillet knife, mostly from two factions. Those who fish off docks and immediately fillet any length bass they inadvertently catch while crappie fishing, and folks in boats who do the same thing to undersized bass. Hey, it's only illegal if you get caught.
