Cape Wed. Tournament update
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Table Rock Lake
Paul, i would love if we could get someone to host a mid week tournament, but that might be the issue finding someone available, im usually only good for every other week. -
Well i just got a message saying for the Wed. Cape tournament this summer you have to have one person 55 or older to compete. They only had 6-12 boats total begin with. Usually there were 3-5 boats of younger guys I guess i took to much of their money last year

Havent been out in a month which is odd for me. But i wanted to go run the boat. Not much of a fishing report but i put in at Cape, Parking lot was full at the marina launch. Nice clear 41 degrees on the Garmin. Tried for some crappie for a minute but got bored. Headed to Bridgeport and was greeted with that beautiful James river Blueish green and 39 degree water, very clear. Dead Calm when i arrived, 20 min later white capping. only was there two hours, hate letting my boat sit more that a couple weeks without running it. Ive always lived by the saying " used boats are reliable boats".

i drove all over today around springfield and never saw a slick spot until i got to my neighborhood, its all new pavement...not sure if that matter but i got the 4 wheeler out and busted a few awd donuts. IT is a solid sheet of ice, i couldnt even move in 2wd. looking forward to tomorrow. my 6 year old has never really saw more than 4 inces of snow. We are blowing up the boat tube to pull behind the 4 wheeler in grandpas field

Stainless Props
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to MrGiggles's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
well, once i flashed my 75, i did have to get a bigger prop. but i tried different trophys, lasers, had some worked over by john hot props. And john let me try out 3-4 other props too. I did finally found one i liked the best, but once i got close to the right pitch they were all within 1-3mph of each other. i wasted a lot of money on a boat that was never designed to be fast...but i will say i could fly by all the other bass tracker 175's like they were sitting still......still not worth it. My boat boat i have now has a 150 and its a heavy rig, i have a couple different props that work from my tracker but the one that came on it from the factory is the one that works the best. -
Stainless Props
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to MrGiggles's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I played around a ton with them on my tracker with a 75 opti. Had it flashed to a 115. Tried all kinds of props threw tons of money at it for a couple mph -
Wtb 23 pitch Tempest or Laser II
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Ranger520vx's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
Agreed i had a laser on my old aluminum boat and it sucked until i had a "prop scientist" modify it. Thats a wrench term. It worked well on that boat after that but it wasnt a planing hull either. I tried a couple props on my boat now and realized it isnt worth chasing a couple MPH. i should have listened to the wrench. He might be controversial but he knows his stuff. -

aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Ranger520vx's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
I actually just looked at mine and the 23 is the one im using, for some reason i though i had my 21 on it. So im keeping it for now. If he liked the laser he would probably like the tempest more. I tried a laser before and it was such a flat running prop, no lift and no speed -

aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Ranger520vx's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
If he Wants a 3 blade tempest i have a 23 i would sell, or let him try if he is local (Table Rock ish). Like fshndoug said though what boat/motor is he running.. Just be sure to ask what prop he tried and liked, if it was a 3 blade it was most likely a tempest, trophys are all 4 blade -
Garmin Livscope update
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in General Angling Discussion
Its all kinda relative, back when DI and SI came out im sure everyone said the same thing Now you cant hardly by a new unit without those. And with all the pressure on the lakes now its hard to sit over the top of a school with 2D and pull them straight up, they tend to stay out from under boats more and more. gotta cast to them now. gotta get onboard with the future. Cant wait to see how the EV hummer pulls the boat....................j/k -

All trophys are 4 blades, he probably wants a tempest -
Enough with all the political threads. Anyone on here that actually fishes tried out the color limit update. Looks promising. Being able to crank up the gain and use the color limit to filter out the fuzz.

I caught the virus
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in General Angling Discussion
very mild for us, nothing to cause a fuss, thank you guys for the good words. I did get to miss out of driving to Springfield Illinois because of this so not all is bad -
Well i spoke to soon on a post last week wondering how i havent caught it yet traveling through hospitals. We were suppose to go to my parents and my 6 year old had a fever the day before so i gave him a test because i really dont want my dad to catch this. 6 year old was positive, We all showed symptoms but didnt really get us down. We even went fishing one day. Im fully vaccinated and boosted because i want i dont have a choice if i want my family to eat. Little boy had a slight fever one day and has been balls to the wall since. His mom has what i would call a cold, she has had 2 shots and no booster.

PSA: Check your air pressure
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to snagged in outlet 3's topic in General Angling Discussion

PSA: Check your air pressure
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to snagged in outlet 3's topic in General Angling Discussion
Nope, i did find out the that there is a sensor in the spare too, and if it gets low it triggers the light too. Its an older car so it just has a tire pressure warning and doesnt tell which tire it is -

aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to snagged in outlet 3's topic in General Angling Discussion
I put some nice wheels on our Lexus and since they were a two piece wheel with the valve in a very odd place they told us they couldn't put the tire sensors in them(im sure they could have figured it out for the right price) anyway, i got the wheel sensors had them programmed to the car and glues up some PVC pipe and put a schrader valve in it, threw the sensors in and pressurized it and threw it in the trunk, been 8 months now with no anooying lights -
Caught a limit of pathetic crappie. Are there any size in this lake, i dont fish there often. The 10"ers. compared to the 10"ers at Bull are laughable. Crappie are thick on timber in 20-35. Caught them on minnows, jigs of all colors. Didnt seem to matter as long as you put it in front of a school that wanted to eat
