  1. You forgot a wacky rig rod. I use a lot heavier line usually 8 nothing less than 6, but lately i rarely go that light. i dont think i could ever get a hook through them with 4# without breaking
  2. Its been a few weeks since they had the normal Wed. Cape Tourney. So this week it was back on. Water temp was 83 at launch. Over all fishing was a lot tougher than it had been. We caught some on top, and a shakey head fairly shallow but most fish came in 20+. We had 11.25 for our 4 fish limit, 2nd had 4.50, only 1 limit brought it. Definitely getting tougher out. We had 7 keepers all day and just a couple shorts. Good news is pleasure boat traffic was at a minimum. Wind picked up around 10 and made and pretty tough to fish deep
  3. well they sell blue shitty ones but these are rubber, Merc sell blues ones that ore nylon looking for like $2 and then the yellow ons that are rubbery for 4$
  4. Thanks for the update
  5. I went to the X games in Aspen a few years ago, It is pretty awesome. Expensive though, I ordered a double Rum and coke at a restaurant and it was $37, so that was my dinner for the night.
  6. I just changed out my water pump with part# 46-96148A 8. IT come with a whole bunch of stuff you dont need but are those little yellow washers the ones to use on the lower unit drain and fill plug. They look like it but just puzzled why the came with the water pump kit
  7. The neds i make with weed guards work great. I tried without and lost 20 in one day. Same ned with w weed guard and i only go through a few
  8. Where should I start? Even though you live in Kansas you still know way more than me about Taney. Text me ill keep a secret lol. When you move here you will want TR info.
  9. IM finally off work for a week. Im tempted to go look for some bass down there tomorrow
  10. I lived right up the hill from Linden for 12 years, we used to wait for a good snow when the river would come up and put on our dry suits and make that same float in our whitewater kayaks. It was cold and fun. In later years we had some friends that had a boat on out same dock at Table Rock as us that actually had a cabin looking over the dam in the community. We would go there every Sunday after the lake to grill and just watch the crazy people. It was very entertaining. I hate to say it but if its opening back up its going to turn into the same trashy place that it is known for
  11. THanks for the report. How did Beaver Creek launch look, or is it still under
  12. Ive had issues like that before and i would start with replacing the plug, mine was just a simple flat 4 so it was quick, easy and cheap
  13. I still have an open seat if anyone wants it.
  14. Maybe they can be used for bait like crickets
  15. Hammer, hes being a lil smug. so ill brag on him... I wish i had his bag today in the fish Tales Tourney. he had a money bag before they even towed him in
  16. I only ask because i love a good rant. I have a buddy wanting to sell a 03 vmax on a champ for a bigger champion with a 99 Opti with unknown hours, I told him dont sell something that works for another persons prob
  17. That pic is from a couple years ago when they spots wouldnt leave that spoon alone. This year i have only caught 3 spots and they were all fatter than those in the pic, and the LM are all butterballs like me this year. These fish are looking better than ever. I know you have been pretty concerned about the no stocking but it really is on an uptrend since i started this bass thing about 6-7 years ago

  19. Ive done a lot of scuba diving in that area. Plenty of Large and smallmouth. Lot of walleye too
  20. Nope, i would consider that mid lake, That is a good resort and a good place to fish. No tips as i havent been since its been so high this summer. IT should be getting close to normal by then if they keep dropping it
  21. Those bridge pillars are always a sure thing the topwater action was just a bonus
  22. Took my little boy and my niece tubing one last time before school starts Monday, One they had enough of that i talked them into fishing, we just went to the bridge pillars and used a drop shot with a live worm. Caught a couple but they kept coming up schooling around all three of those pillars. We sat there for an hour and they pretty much were schooling on top the whole time. We threw a sexy dog when they would come up and a little George when they would go down. Little boy caught his first topwater fish all by hiself on a tiny torpedo that Santa brought him last Christmas. Nothing big just a mix of mean little largemouth and spots. IF anyone has some kids to take it seems those fish were willing to bite about anything. Nice and deep, nothing to get hung on lol. 2 six year olds is a handful. We left them biting.
  23. Man i was thinking the water color in the James is perfect. It starts clearing up just before Aunts Creek
  24. I went into the boat works bait shop the other day and it is dang good, they have about everything a guy can ask for. I have a buddy that opened a small tackle shop in Nixa, Modern Outdoor Tackle and he has a really good selection for a small shop. Has about anything you need for Table Rock.
