All this happens on dock but yet I cant remember how many time I got "spoken" to while spooning docks this last summer. Its part of having a boat on a dock at the lake!!!. I was cussed at, yelled at and told it was illegal to fish around the docks. People need to realize that it is a privilege to even be allowed to have a dock at the lake and guys are gonna fish around it and that's the bottom line
I feel like if your not using elaztec your ned rigging wrong. Zinkers are the way to go,if you cut them you get 12 for the same price as
8 trd's. Ive put senkos and yum dingers in a fish tank and they fall over on there face...Elaztec stands straight up. the head doesnt matter what so ever unless use use the proper plastic. (its pretty much a texas rig with a short worm)
My favorite were the pigsticker Snowden's, but they quit making them. But they are suppose to have a new one coming out from 5ive Fish Lures . Also cant go wrong with Nutech. Caught a lot of fish on both
I got a heavy Denali last summer for spoon fishing and it is great, it will double as a good jig rod. Fin and Feather in Springfield had the Koverts on sale for $99. I did have one break on me, I took it back up there and they replaced it with another one off the shelf no questions asked
1st time i fished the ned with the zman heads with no guard i lost 18 of them. Then i started making my own with guards and i rarely lose any. I believe in them, but thats just my opinion
Has anyone seen the Jerkbaits at Sportsmans in Springfield, that say Walleye on them? Those look just like the old RC STX. I think Fin & feather is carrying them too
The ones at Bass Pro in Springfield have definitly changed but they probably cycle through 100's a month. Ive always thrown RC STX too and have done just fine with them.
Champ have you got any RC STX lately? The new ones are a totally different mold than the ones a couple years old. No sure when it changed but i was comparing a couple the other day and the new ones are much wider. I havent used any of the news ones so i cant comment on the action. It was just somthing a buddy and i noticed this year When looking real close and comparing different Jerks
Ive had the Motorguide Xi5 for the last 4 years and it works great too, and its quite a bit cheaper than the Ultrex. You can get a 12v for under $1000 now
I fished Buck creek to Big Creek on Sunday. 3 bites with one being a nice smallie. Only saw 4-5 boats all day. IT was pretty slow fishing. I couldnt find and shad in the creeks. Only shad i saw were just off the main channel in 75ft
I have the Team Gold also. But it just doesnt cast near as far as my cheaper Presidents. Even when rigged with the same line on the same rod. Pretty disappointing. IT was pretty expensive when i got it to
I tried to watch a rerun of MLF today and all they do is talk about how stressful the format is and drink squincher with the label turned toward the camera. I fell asleep about 20 minutes in. Im not a fan of the every fish counts
