  1. Is there a number you can call to see if they are running water at Powersite? Ive looked online a little and had no success
  2. At Dyna prop they basically just sell you a prop and will totally refund you when you bring it back if it doesnt work out. At Johns he loaded me up with all kinds of props to try. Heck he didnt even ask my name or anything, i still had him take down my info. John is a talker so give yourself a few extra minutes, he is a real good guy though. One of the props i demoed from him was a used prop and of course i hit somthing submerged and messed it up. Never ruined a prop until i demoed his.....go figure. I took the cash to pay for it and he said to just give him $50 because thats what it would cost him to fix it.
  3. Johns hot prop in Ozark, and Dyna prop have both let me demo multiple props
  4. I like my Falcon Cara 6' 10" Head Turner. I was up the James yesterday too, i was in a red Tracker. My little boy wanted to swim more than fish so, we I didnt get to many casts in before he was ready to jump in again
  5. bass are hiding in it, in our tournament a couple weeks ago we caught all our out of grass on a chatterbait. gotta be be selective though, some of it is just to thick... Most of ours we were running out chatter above it and the were hitting it about a foot under the surface
  6. My new policy is to not touch the net if im alone unless im using spinning gear. but i would probably scratch that policy for a 6lber
  7. ill take them for $50, need something to burn my boat down so insurance will get me a new one
  8. First step is teaching a kid a flag is hung from a POLE and a rod catches fish.
  9. even the 12 inchers weighed over a pound, they were fat as could be, spitting up orange craws everywhere
  10. I caught a good one on Taney yesterday too
  11. My obsevations from scuba diving in the summer in Bull is that below the thermocline there is very little life. 95% of the fish live above it. Usually the Walleye we would seek out were right in the middle of it. We got to where we never spent time under the thermocline, just cold, dark, and lifeless
  12. Flicker Shads yesterday #7's and #9's, caught more on the 7's
  13. I have one with a 35' leash that has always been enough, yesterday they were just not coming out like normal.
  14. 20-25 ft is where these came from, every color i tried worked, caught 4 short fish and lost a couple good ones too. Got a little wet but ended up being a good day. Lost $30 worth of bait, Walleye are getting pretty pricey per pound these days
  15. Did the weights drop pretty quick after those 15lb bags? I think im gonna do the Fish Tales Tourney next weekend, Regatta listing says 80 boats, so i figure 40ish. How many Boats were there at the Joe BAss
  16. As far as Duckett being proud of their product is up for debate, I really love the feel of them but their fit and finish is pretty sloppy, hard to find one with all the eyes being straight, The micro guides are always falling out. I have a few of them and they are all pretty much the same. I really just like the feel of them though even over the My Falcon Caras
  17. When they warranty them they just have you hack saw off the piece of the rod that has the model number and the rod specs and send it in with a check in a padded envelope. may try the epoxy thing just for the heck of it https://www.duckettfishing.com/sites/duckettfishing/uploads/documents/2018__88_Duckett_Fishing_Warranty_Form-2.pdf This is one reason i like buying nice rods, most of them have a warranty program like this, even if you brake one on a cleat you can still get a $170 rod replaced for $60. I broke a Falcon Cara once i bought for a great price used and ended up breaking it on a hookset and had it replaced by Falcon for $60
  18. I got it about 5 years ago as a gift and have used it hard, If i do the warranty process i think it costs like $60 since i dont have the original receipt, which i will probably end up doing, just wondering if there was an easy fix
  19. I have a Duckett that the reel seat started twisting on me. Is there any way to fix this?
  20. Doubt it will be any worse than Pomme on a holiday weekend, I was at Pomme over the july 4th weekend and it was just as busy as ive ever seen Tablerock
  21. I used to lose a lot more when i just trolled with whatever baitcaster i had laying around, no i use Okuma Stratamaster trolling rods and yes they are very limber but the hook up way better. I found them pretty cheap in the Bass Pro outlet. I was tying a new bait on the other day when i saw my other rod bend over, i just finished what i was doing and the fish stayed pinned no problem. The Walleye lately feel about like a rock coming in until they see the boat. I pulled a couple in and i was convinced i hooked a big stick or a rock.
  22. I will if i see ya. I use 8lb Flouro to troll with to help get me down deep, i set the drag pretty loose in case i hook a big one. The one i lost i had on a 1.5 ounce spoon with 20lb flouro and on my Heavy rod and it was ripping drag out and i had it set tight. That big spoon is easy for them to throw
  23. We caught these today, Flicker Shads and big spoons, 20-30ft, not a lot of 30ft water around Beaver creek. Also caught 2 shorts and i lost a real big one probably 28"+
