  1. You have to basically buy the prop and as long as you bring it back perfect they will refund you fully if it doesnt work. Ive done it a few times
  2. Doesnt Jimmy have his own lakes on his property? I watched a show once where he was putting something in it to create an algae bloom and also he had like 200 lbs of crawdads he was letting go on the edge so they would crawl in. Man that would be the life.
  3. Yeah i put a new screen cover on my phone and it is so sensitive it called a million people in my pocket. I took that POS off yesterday
  4. Nice to see Watson win. He has been at Grand and Lake O Lately and doesnt fish all that much on TR even though its in his back yard. As quick as Table Rock has been changing changing, he had a dang good couple days. I cant ever catch them two days in a row
  5. My opti 75 i had flashed to a 115 and it was a monster on my 17 ft tracker. only issue i ever had was a coil. But the small optis never had as many issues as the 175 and bigger.
  6. OPtimax is so over engineered. way to many things to go wrong. Mine was a small one 75hp and i had 1000 hours on it and it ran fine but i knew it was a metter of time before it popped. Look at boat online with higher hp optis and almost all of them have a new power head at 300-500 hours... when they run, they run great but when they break its so hard for the garage mechanic like me to figure it out. Ive been doing 8 trips per month this year with my ole carbed motor. fresh gas is the key in my opinion, dont let them sit
  7. I just figured it would have be a hell of a pull. That thing runs like a top. couldnt be happier switching from a Opti to a carbed motor.
  8. Just got back from the lake had a decent day catching crappie.. No issues what so ever with it starting today. I guess it just needed a little lube
  9. it all subjective. voltage is all about the wire size to the unit, mine read 9.6 all the time before i ran bigger wire
  10. Thanks, all connections are tight and clean. My dad got this boat 12 years ago with what the guy said 50hrs (estimate) its imaculate under the hood so i think it was pretty new and the starter has always kinda (kicked out) as i call it basically just not engaging. But yesterday was the first time i actually had to pull the hood and tap it to make it work Im going crappie fishing tomorrow, going to launch close to where im fishing. ill see what happens since i put that dry lube on it. hope its that simple. My starting battery is fresh and havent had an issue with it running 3 graphs and that pesky livescope. Garmins all say over 12v all the time
  11. man if i had a choice mine would have a G2 on the back. Sold my tracker with an Optimax on it and im pretty happy with the old carbed xr6. So simple and wrench can usually fix it via internet or a phone call. heck he talked me through how to delete the junk oil pump over the phone. After reading all the horror stories online with optimax's i sleep better now
  12. New battery this year. my volt meter said 13.5 at the solenoid. i never let it actually start when i cranked it in my shop so that makes since why it didnt go back down. this boat has done this before i bought it from my dad. you would always here the started spin but the bendix didnt always work. yesterday was the first time i actually had to take the hood off and mess with it on the water. its very intermittent. it actually has a pull rope mounted inside the hood, i can imagine pull starting a 150 lol
  13. Hey Glen and tricks on an xr6 to get the bendix to engage? It is starting to stick and doesnt want to pop up into the flywheel. And sometime it doesnt want to disengage and go back down. I sprayed it with some PB blaster teflon dry lube. The starter is spinning just fine, hate to buy a whole new starter.
  14. I was kinda thinking something like that may be there culprit. I may just replace them all since they have a few miles on them. Any suggestion on what kind. Prices ive looked at seem to range all over the place from $100 a set to closer to $500
  15. Me next: I have a 2006 Ram with hemi. Truck starts every morning no problem and runs fine. But if i stop at walmart or the grocery store and let it sit for a few minutes it struggles to start unless i pump the gas pedal once. It has never not started or left me stranded. But if its hot you really have to crank it or pump the gas to get it to start. (250,000 miles on the clock)
  16. Wow i didnt realize ive been on this board that long, i remember this thread
  17. You can buy they new from a lot of different sites. Russel Marine probably has them and they are very fast to ship. I literally ordered a motor and got it in less than 24hrs from them once Are you waiting on yours from a certain place because your warranty?
  18. I havent been in a while. In the winter ive seen guys with buckets full of crappie fishing off the bank. Ive caught a limit before on brush, they were weird though really long and really slender
  19. When They started Bassmaster Ray Scott said it would add to the drama and make a more interesting TV show
  20. I guess it all depends on what it is. IF something works just as good and its cheaper its a no brainer. Ive always thought Rock Crawlers are way over priced for a crank that gets hung on everything. And really a RC is just a knock off deeper diving wiggle wart.
  21. if its a 36v and you run it on 24v it will be very hard on the motor and i wouldn't expect it to last. Low voltage will kill it
  22. I run lead acid, my charging system on my motor isnt made to handle an AGM. So make sure your motor will work with AGM's before you guys throw those in
  23. I fished 6 hours yesterday with 3 graphs on, live well pump on, and the scope running. Hardy used the outboard at all and no issues. My black box is wired directly to my battery without a cut off switch and ive put a volt meter on my battery got a reading and then let it set for a week and still got the same reading. I havent seen any draw from it. I know ive read some people say it has a constant draw
  24. Beaver creek is one of those places for me i either limit out or totally blank. Those Bull Shoals whites are so finicky seems like you got to be there at the perfect time
  25. Took the old man with me today, my mom has had him locked up for the last year due to Covid, so this is our first trip in a very long time. IT wasnt near as good as Tuesday but he managed 8. I was more less just trying to keep the boat in one spot so he could fish. All on minnows today 12-15 ft. Wind made it really tough and the cold front didnt help. Way up flat creek i was only seeing 51 for the water temp and very clear. Not far down by the Cafe boat dock the water was pretty dingy and 55.
