If your not wanting livescope, I think you have a lot of options. Pretty much all the big names do sidescan and 2 d really well now days. I would go to Bass Pro and see which one you like the best and fits the Bill. Not sure how the Birds and the Lowrances link with each other, but Garmin is just an Ethernet cable.

i love my livescope but im with ya, its boring even when you are catching them

He wont admit it but i think it had been down on power for a while, Last time i was with him it wouldnt get on plane unless i sat on the front deck which didnt used to be the case. It still has the oiling system in it for sure. He has found a used 98' EFI that has everything on it he is getting this weekend, hopfully that powerhead will bolt on to his 95 mid section

I fished a tournament at Stockton a few weeks back and my buddy caught a limit of keeper walleye on a red crank. Of course we threw them back, not if we were in my boat lol. We did end up winning with a measly limit but i think i would have rather had the walleye then the couple hundred bucks to be honest. I feel like my priorities are changing now that i have had a boat for 10 or so years, tournaments dont get me as excited as they use to

thats why i keep crappie rods with me at all times. Im not afraid to just start crappie fishing if my bass tournament starts going south.

Yeahthis is the time of year you will smash them one day and zero the next, at least thats how fall works for me

17.33 to win out of Cape Fair Sunday. Looked like it only took 13.92 in the Solo Pro

the quoted him too. the last 2 days i felt guilty about not fishing and i told the wifey, im not mad enough at these bass to go freeze. Mean while my little 8 yr old went to the neighborhood pond and used corn of all things and hooked into a 3ft grass carp, he got it all the weigh in before it broke off. He called me, and ive never heard more excitement out of his mouth, it was funny.....He said none of the "Karens" tried to run him off, gotta love those HOA Karens

You cant hardly go to the lake without seeing a couple wrapped bait or boat wrx boats flying around. I think they "sponsor" everyone who bought a boat from them
-
Ill add on, over all yesterday was good, we caught them on buzzers and walking baits really good 9 keeps for the day, once the topwater bite died off we threw jig in no more and 10ft and had a good time, lots of bites. We fished the USA bassin. Kinda of a crap show at weigh in. People were pissed about the weights. They weighed the laundry basket with a board on top to make them quit flopping. example: my big was a 3lb and the weighed it as a 6.96. they said it was because they were on the end of a dock and the waves made it read goofy. It was so inconsistent with weights i dont even know what to say. I saw a few that were definite bigger than mine so i didnt say anything, lots of whispers on the dock though, people were not thrilled about the weigh in process

Made a couple trips in September with some decent results. I took my dad to troll for some Walleye, caught 6 with 3 nice keepers, big one was 25.5, lost one that was much bigger. Went back the next week and couldnt catch walleye but caught a few nice bass around the dam. They havent been pushing much water through and its pretty nasty IMG_0555.heic IMG_0549.heic

Anyone loose a glide bait in flat creek in a tree? Im assuming it was a kayak guy and just barely out of reach, i found one, no clue if its worth $15 or $180. Ide be happy to give it back to the owner if you can describe it and tell me what it says on the belly

Rudder as aid in casting

i dont kayak fish but if i trim my motor way up in my bass boat the thing spins around like crazy so i would imagine it would help a ton in a yak. Also help with stability -

Turned 40 last week on the 13th. Feels about the same -
My Opti had 813 hrs when i flashed it and a little over 1100 when i sold it. Barely used any gas at all. Only problem i ever had was a coil go bad. Did the same thing with my fourwheeler, I have a polaris 450 but it is just a detuned 570. Sent the ECU in and they tuned t to run on 91 and not it has 2hp more than the 570's

We fished today out of old state park in a little club tourney. We had 11.02 for the win but everyone said it was brutal . We just stumbled on to a really good bite almost on accident and caught 9 keeps, overall a good day
-
My theory has been to use all that gas i put in for the day and never let it set more than two weeks. All those additives are just a money grab for the most part. Depending on your engine lots are not meant to run on 91. I had an Opti and always ran 87 no problem just dont let it sit. I used all the treatments for a bit and then quit and nothing has changed except i have more money

My take on the Livescope drama.....

So either way your using sonar to get on it. Why not find it twice as fast and not have to play the guessing game. -
