  1. Both of those trailers are excellent. Conquistador has been doing it for quite a while.
  2. Hadn't heard, and absolutely seconded. He's a better man than most of us will ever hope to be. Prayers for his recovery.
  3. *looks around nervously
  4. That lake tried to kill me sooo many times. Dadgum wind tunnel.
  5. Would love a clear water spring, but it almost seems too much to hope for.
  6. Caught one flipping bushes on Truman that would rival it back in the 90s, but not on TR. One of the ditches on the Bucksaw side of the bridge at Long Shoal. Had one around 15# on a Ned in 2013 or 14.
  7. Things like this make me love my old '05 250 more and more.
  8. The old baby Larew craw!
  9. It's an excellent sight fishing bait. Especially the big one, in the GP/red looking color. Not bad nose hooked either.
  10. And...that link looks old as dirt. Bummer.
  11. Bingo. Just had a conversation with Mr. Gizzard Shad about those a little while ago. Have been thinking of making a mold.
  12. Back in the 80s when tubes were "new", yep. About anything can work on the back of a jig, if the size and profile are more or less right.
  13. They split shot pretty well, too. 😉
  14. Rarely will. There's a window for the Finesse Shadz, and for something curly... like a cut down Tiny Brush Hog. But nothing else works day in and day out like that stupid cut stick.
  15. Missile Baits drop craw might work. Would have to cut it down, but it's slim with small claws and no unnecessary legs or flappy bits. Reasonable price, too.
  16. Yes, the Zell rod was one of their best sticks. Not sure I have ten Zell rods, but I know I easily have half that many.
  17. Don't they have FL, or FL hybribds, in some OK lakes? You'd think they would be able to handle the White River lakes, if so. Of ourse, MO would have to figure out that stocking works. Dang old pond has a few fish left, regardless.
  18. If Castaway wasn't the same, it was awfully close. At least in the late 90s.
  19. 😬
  20. The old All Stars were made in Houston, TX. I have what some people would call a soft spot for those. Others...rod snobs, wives, and such... might call it other names.
  21. My buddy Dwight loves the old ones, pre re-design. They sell like crazy on the fleaBay.
  22. Kings can be bad too.
  23. +1 on the fingerless wool gloves. Went to those after several years of using neoprenes. Keep a couple pairs in the boat so I can switch out wet ones. Even wet, they help a bit.
  24. We must have passed each other on those central Iowa lakes in the early 90s. Little River Lake, IA October 94 Mama kprs with an Iowa pond fish. Catching 'em up north. Pelican Lake- Orr, MN 1992. Two from a winning limit, Smithville Lake, April 94. Don't win your first derby. Mrs Kprs with a fuzzy hat bass at Stockton in the old red 462VS (wearing my Gore Tex), April 98. Mississippi River backwaters, and view up a chute, near Prairie du Chien, WI- 1994.
  25. Lot of good people left in the world.
