Giant PIA to get to our boat that is at State Park Marina. Parking lot is underwater, parking is at the park entrance and three golf carts running shuttles. Took us an hour to get to the boat. But once we did, the lake was just fine. Just looked at the radar. Hope it stops moving NW.

Tied up the cherry tomatoes that are in the cattle waterer planter. Suckered the ones in the earth. Fed them with miracle grow for tomatoes. Put down crushed oyster shells before planting to assure plenty of calcium and magnesium. Been hoeing nearly every day, it's a never ending thing to keep that spot weed and grass free. But overall looking good. I actually watered yesterday. Amazing how fast it can dry up.

Nazi Germany and the swastika is part of German history too. Both flags represent the worst humankind has to offer. IMHO. And that, other than the observation that the timing of this thread is not likely a coincidence is the last I have to say on the matter.

I hear you. I've been out for 48 years and have covered a lot of ground in that time too. Funny though how it seems like yesterday in a lot of ways still.

It's not going to be long before I have zucchini and yellow crook neck squash running out my ears. Tomatoes are doing good too, lots of blooms but still have not spotted any fruit.

Just guessing but I think they want cops to stop killing black people for no good reason. You know, like that woman shot in her bed in her apartment a few weeks ago in Louisville. And the guy they did in NYC before that. They're tired of being afraid of the cops. Who can blame them? Surely not me. I'm very glad I'm not black and have never had to worry about it.

Those guys running rocky rivers back east nearly all put the slick stuff on the bottoms of what they are running. Very nice. -
That was a nice find. Glad they freeze well. I gave a bag to my neighbor, who's now on the hunt too! When I went to check on the other one this morning, there it was, GONE! Either deer or another mushroom hunter. Deer are always suspects, they cleaned up a big patch of small white non-identified ones in the yard night before last.

I did a beer can chicken. Fresh tarragon and seasoned salt under the skin. Steamed a big batch of asparagus. When there's some room, there's a salad waiting for dessert. The chicken was well above average.

I've killed high hundreds if not low thousands of raccoons. Hunting barns and abandoned houses in Iowa with terriers. Russells and patterdales and jagd terriers. They are among the most destructive creatures on this earth. The farmers up there hated them. Ruin hay, ruin any kind of feed, crap on everything. Have taken fifty out of the same building - a hog barn. They were everywhere.

Today, I show mercy. Speaking of mercy. I had my picture taken a few weeks ago. I told the photographer "pictures just don't do me justice". He told me I didn't need justice, I needed mercy.
