Last night was wings, morels and asparagus. Had enough morels to save some to saute' to go in omelet this morning. And some asparagus. Dang I love spring.
Leftovers. Half slab of baby backs from Tuesday - (with some Milo sauce). Five bean salad with black beans, corn, quinoa, some peppers, some cilantro, some onion, and some fresh pressed garlic. Don't call 911. I'll be OK.
Asparagus and gouda omelets. First asparagus of the season. Just blanched for about a minute and then cold water to keep it crisp. Not bad if I do say so myself.
I finally have some potatoes coming up. They went in the ground the day after St. Patrick's! The peas didn't show at all. Not going to try again on them. Will plant some pole beans instead since I already have the trellis up. Will add another cattle panel to make a longer row.
One has to make do sometimes. I have that same exact lid. Revere ware. Classic stuff. Good sauce pans but like you, prefer non-stick skillets. Cast iron for certain things, but usually non-stick for me. Chef's brand is a favorite but I don't think still available.
What are the green things? Pickle?
