Easements do not change ownership of the land they're located on. They do allow certain uses granted to the easement holder. For instance, half of my driveway entrance is on an access easement granted to our property. My neighbor still owns the land but I get to drive on it.

I think every bridge over every waterway should allow roadside parking where its' safe and always allow foot traffic from the road to the stream.

People go to hospitals to die. Nursing homes (HA - great name but just shoot me first) same way. Both of which are #2 and #1 on my least favorite ways to die list. First on my yest list is peaceful and in my sleep, like Grandpa. Not yelling and screaming like the people riding with him.

Not specifically didymo. I did see what made sense to me at least though after reading Bothwell. Lower P levels apparently slow cell division and allow what is there to grow longer attachment stalks which forms the mats. Higher P levels allow faster cell division with shorter stalks and mat formation is not so much. What seemed odd as heck to me was that forming the mats didn't equate to more biomass. It was a bit of an odd study with a lack of detailed information, but still interesting.

Lack of P caused blooms? That's contrary to current nutrient regulatory requirements. Considerable research showed P to be the limiting nutrient for algal growth in TRL. Taking P down to <0.5 mg/l in wastewater discharges is credited with stopping algal blooms in the James River first and contributing to general TRL clarity - which is better now than it was 15 years ago. Better AG practices and riparian zone protection are also effective in controlling nutrients which affect water clarity. It's a process.

I just hope a person doesn't go to hell for killing raccoons. I'm sure to be over a thousand by now. They're as destructive as any creature I know of. Seen over 50 come out of one barn/farrowing house. Destroy hay, milk replacer, chew everything. Been in abandoned houses with sinks level full of coon crap. And it is flat amazing where they can get. Doesn't take much of a hole. If you're getting the idea I am not much of a fan of the raccoon family, you're right. This thing accounted for most of them. It's accurate, I could drop them out of the top of a barn.

Dead skunks are everywhere now. And the armadillo wars are back in full swing now that warm weather is here. Trap is so far 0 for but I got one last night just after dusk. Remington Duplex #2 x # 4 is fatal to armadillo at about 30 yards. Our yard is a MESS. No telling how many of those farging bastages there are here. But no way was ONE doing all the damage. Scouting continues with .22 rifles in strategic spots for daytime action, and the good old standby for after dark.

We're out of town this weekend or I'd probably take a run up there just to watch. That's still a good time.

Opening day was a family tradition when we lived in Jefferson City. Three camper loads worth of adults and kids from 6 on up. Everybody went to Weavers, got new 3 pound Dai Riki line on their rigs and we all used the same black and yellow jigs. We'd fish as a group at the hole where the handicap ramp is. Always there in plenty of time to get our spots before the siren. We'd make it a point to catch a limit of trout as fast as we could, clean them in the spring, then go have bacon, fried potatoes and fried trout for breakfast. Loved watching kids fishing off the whistle bridge later in the day, still do given the chance. Those were good times. Same group was known to frequent Montauk which was better for teaching kids how to actually fish. Better Campground and dining lodge too.

It doesn't count if a guide puts you on it.

I didn't see anybody wearing chest waders, but lots of hip boots. And did you see all the cool old cars? Great video, hard to imagine that was going on while WWII was still raging. There weren't a lot of young guys there if you notice.

So do you think that ^^ should go away or is it justified? It sure seems like times are changing.

If FEMA goes away there's not much left for DHS to do other than Border Patrol anyway. This is going to sound harsh, but without FEMA I don't think you'd see the kind of build stuff and watch it get washed away or burned down we're gonna rebuild no matter what that happens now.

There are roughly 2.3 million civilian federal employees. They've fired roughly 18,700. That's 0.81%. So I guess it's something but honestly not much. Surely not enough to set everybody's hair on fire.

The road from our house to Domino's was mostly clear with a few patches of packed snow this afternoon about 1:00. 5" vs 15" of snow really helped Modot down here. Thanks KY3, you're the best.
