  1. You're a genius Marty.
  2. So. Five pounds of Harter House double smoked bacon and three dozen eggs along with the casserole (which I'm making right now) and the snack stuff.
  3. I'm bringing a couple of fancy dancy cheese things, Dot's pretzels and a broccolli rice casserole. And some bacon and some eggs and a loaf of bread, mayo, mustard and ketchup.
  4. Oh no problem with my answer. White Grill. Swopes is good but Grill is just the best. Double Cheeseburger with grilled onions on the large bun and suzies. For anyone who doesn't know what suzies are - they're the original curly fries. Made fresh on site.
  5. Not this time. But you're right, they are the best I have ever had. My opinion might be a little colored since I grew up in Nevada, "The Grill" was where everybody hung out, and I worked there in High School.
  6. We were in Nevada for thanksgiving and ready to come home this morning. I got up just a few minutes before 6:00 to walk dogs. It was still pitch dark with just the lightest tinge of pink in the east. Whilst out with the dogs I heard a big wad of snow geese riding that north wind to Texas. I looked up and was amazed. The geese were high enough to catch the rising sun on their bellies - every one fully silhouetted in bright white flying across the dark starlit sky. Had to just stand and watch until they were gone. Thankful for that happening when I could see it, I surely am.
  7. You're may be thinking of Brian Sloss. I think he's retired now but Justin Spencer is still active. And he's good. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=244c563b22a494be1474f61a4a216473ad07aff38047c7f76722674499e0fcf8JmltdHM9MTc2NDExNTIwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=116f4668-d883-68cd-36c6-54d1d9f6691d&psq=brian+sloss+11+point+river&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZWxldmVucG9pbnRmbHlmaXNoaW5nLmNvbS8
  8. Cast? What's that?
  9. LOL. Sometimes the current carries the boat further than 6 feet from the bank. Sue me.
  10. Gosh, so do I.
  11. Hot is how it's been. I've given it up but still pay attention. Compared to most deer seasons I'm hearing very little shooting. Drove to Nevada yesterday to see grandson wrestle (he went 5 for 5 with four pins and a TKO) and there were dead deer everywhere. Counted 13, so they're still acting nutty.
  12. Hey Marty - tell Pat I'm really glad she is coming. We need a dishwasher.
  13. You got the best night's sleep you ever had.
  14. If I was you I wouldn't worry about Pat getting crap. I'd be more worried about what was in store for me.
  15. Dang it I was hoping you'd bring them by the place.
  16. I recently learned that newer model cars and trucks have AGM batteries. Wife has a 2018 Jeep Renegade that recently had a bad battery. It caused all kinds of mystery problems. Sun Roof, Key Fob, Transmission shift points, all kinds of codes. New battery fixed them all, after resetting the computer by disconnecting battery with engine running.
  17. Scherzer for the Jays. I don't think either starter will make it through the 4th inning. Dodgers escaped certain death last night. It is going to be fun to watch.
  18. If that's a little guy I want to see what you think is a nice one. Great trip and post. Many thanks.
  19. Deer are going nutty everywhere the last few days. The bucks are chasing does here in a big way. Anybody else seeing it yet?
  20. 3x for Rick please.
  21. Jeff, you missed a great pitching performance by Trey Yesavage. Been in the majors about a month and tied Sandy Koufax for 10 strikeouts in the first five innings. Wound up with 12 after holding Dodgers to one run in seven innings. I think he finished with 27 missed swings. Pretty good.
  22. 4 for 4 with two home runs and then 5 walks in a row. And then starting pitcher for Game 4. With seven pitches! Game 4 didn't go his way. But he may not be done - maybe a relief appearance. What a player.
  23. With all the AI misinformation out there I'm not sure if this actually happened. So is there a new state record or not?
  24. I've seen quite a few tarantulas over the years. They seem to be more common in glade environments. And hey Al, this one's for you. Aggressive things.
  25. I think that's pretty well true for most hydro plants. They all have different water levels above and below their respective dams and differing flow levels for generation. I know Bagnell is that way for certain.
