  1. Les is a lot smarter than he looks. Good luck with it Ham.
  2. Well duh. I guess😎
  3. I had another inspiration. I'll also bring what's needed for real biscuits and gravy for Sunday morning. See you there guys! Marty, nobody likes hot buttered biscuits with honey. Just sayin'.
  4. I have and will bring 13 venison bratwurst. Somebody already ate two. How many people for lunch anyway? And I just found four venison polish with cheddar cheese. Buns, good mustard and kraut are coming along too. And extra charcoal just in case. I'd say with Les bringing hotdogs and the venison dogs we're probably good for lunch considering how much food everyone brings to these affairs.
  5. I'm all set. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
  6. Put me down for one of those 3 beds for Saturday night please and thank you. I'll also want to rent a slip for that day/night. Will call the office tomorrow for that.
  7. Dang, I'm only one zero off .☹️
  8. The weather forecast for January 26, 27 and 28 is favorable. Upper forties and maybe a few sprinkles on Friday and Sunday. Saturday sunny and 49 degrees. Not bad, not bad at all.
  9. I don't fly fish but have caught a number of eels in the Osage River near Jefferson City. They will permanently slime a boat.
  10. I've cleaned cork grips in the kitchen sink with warm water, Dawn and a scotch Brite sponge. Afterwards, apply a fresh coat of fish slime as a preservative. Eels are best.
  11. I've said many times If WD40 won't fix it, there's something else wrong with it.
  12. My favorite part about this weather is the little ice crystals in the beer I just brought in from the back porch.

On that note, I have tater tots sprinkled with The Gospel rub going in the oven, Gonna melt some delicious velveeta cheese on them and top with pickled jalapeno slices for the full gourmand experience. Accompanied by chou cuit a la vapeur.

Went to NYC one time in the late '80's. I didn't care for it at all. The main thing I remember about the trip was eating at Sparks, if that rings a bell for anyone.

    What's Cooking?

A good turkey burger is one of my favorites. Dana's in Branson does a really nice job with them.

Vienna Sausages surely make that cut. Split and fried to go in Ramen is up there.

    What's Cooking?

We had breakfast Monday in a Springfield coffee shop that does breakfast too. I had a gravy boat - two eggs, a biscuit and tater tots covered in sausage gravy. The tater tots were garlic butter of all things! Outstanding.
