  1. The portable ones will make a lawnmower battery last from now on. A true stable genius.

    Pizza Ovens

Only 856.5? Couldn't do 857???? Sad. I bet it makes some fine pizza. Fast.
  3. Love Door County. But you'll not find me on that lake in any small craft. Just don't enjoy that rough treatment anymore. An out of the way exceptionally good place to eat up there is Prince of Pierogi. Two Czech brother who can really cook. Just ask Griz
  4. I've caught a few trout on chrome kastmasters. You can chunk them 3/4 of a mile.
  5. The only one I ever cooked was extraordinarily well fastened to it's hide. I tried to cook it low and slow on a grill. At the end of three hours or so it was inedible. Tough. Extraordinarily tough. That was a failed experiment and I never tried to improve my average.

    What's Cooking?

It was DDD quality. They would make a great menu item.

    What's Cooking?

Of all things, I'm in the process of making a leftover meatloaf with yellow American cheese omelet. I'm hungry and it sounds good.
  8. A leopard has a much better chance of changing spots than you. Never change.
  9. I put a kevlar skid plate front and rear on every ABS boat I owned when they were new. So I would do the same to yours now were it mine.
  10. It's OK with me if they want to procreate.😎
  11. Stripers in NFOW have the reputation of being a problem for the trout fishery.
  12. The scallop thing is what I was wondering about. Were it me, I'd try it. Very few fish don't meet my standards. And I bet it's good done right.
  13. Ever done anything but release skates and rays?
  14. Way to get that bottom scratched up! Nice boat Daryk. Real nice.
  15. For sure the stuff I bought was composted something that has chunks of plastic in it. And it smells like the digesters I used to be around back when I actually worked. But man does it grow the vegetables. And flowers.
  16. There was a bear wandering around the subdivision our Nevada peeps live in. Edge of town close to woods and Little Drywood. Not really surprising, they seem to be making a comeback.
  17. AAAAnnnnd..... It's pouring again.
  18. We've had enough to last us a few days.
  19. It rained hard here all night and most of the day today. We went out for lunch and to walk the dogs. Finley river came up five feet - maybe more - while we were in town. Folks were getting their vehicles out of the lower parking lot at the Ozark Mill restaurant. Staff there were getting everything they could out of the lower level of the restaurant. At least one car was floating in the parking lot south of the 14 bridge. We watched the lot go from dry to completely flooded in about 15 minutes. I've seen a lot of flooding in my life, but never was present for anything rising so fast. Of course, Riverside Park and Riverside Road are completely flooded. Haven't heard if 125 has water on it - but it's a distinct possibility. Edit: 125 is closed at Linden. Had to go look.
  20. When the shop door is open, the chickens come in for a little food shopping. They're pretty good on June bug cleanup. We're still loaded with them.
  21. So far we're getting a nice rain and lightning show. Hope it stays that way.
  22. It's all cattle country here with fescue pasture (most of the area) interspersed with alfalfa for hay. Kind of a patchwork savannah effect with the tree lines, wooded draws and such. It was about five miles from our house where it looked like it was snowing June bugs.
  23. June bugs. Big brown juicy ones. Big splats on your windshield that washer fluid smears around. June bugs. The kind that make you wash your car.
  24. In all my 73 years I swear there are more June bugs this year than I've ever seen. We were driving home from Nevada the other night and it sounded like little small grenades constantly hitting the car. You could see them in the headlights. One place it almost looked like it was snowing there were so many of them. I just dropped about 30 out of an empty dog food bowl up at the shop. There's another 50 or more on the walls and floor. I'd bet the catfish would bite on one. It's crazy.
