  1. Klein lineman's pliers. Klein wire strippers. Knipex water pump pliers (only have one small pair but they seem to be top shelf so far). Cordless tools - Hitachi. I've never worn out a socket set. Driver sure but not the actual sockets. I'm still using a 30 year old set of impact sockets from Harbor Freight and about the same age sets of Craftsman sockets metric and inch 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 from back when there was such a thing as a Sears store. And I still have straight and strong Craftsman screwdrivers. So. It sounds to me like you need a wayback machine.
  2. My theory is do and post what you want. You could tell the exact spot, the exact fly and how you fished it and 99.99% of people couldn't do it themselves if they tried. I like your pictures, so do please keep showing us some pretty places with pretty fish.
  3. Not to spill the beans or anything but it's on the way to the Red Ribbon area on the Meramec.😵

We drove down there (Key West) and didn't even get out of the car. Wall to wall people and no place anywhere to park. So we just headed back North. Had a mahi reuben along the way. It was good.

I loved Islamorada. Key Largo is nice too. Would not give ten cents for Key West.
  6. I am still hating to miss this. Wishing everyone a great get together!
  7. Grey mallards are not stinkin. You are hard core. Even back then I never picked my birds. But to each his own. Those ones are nice and clean. Enjoy!
  8. You can see further and deer are less likely to spot any movement.
  9. That's the place I was going to suggest.
  10. Mine is a Craftsman mower with Honda engine. I already asked if I should use Craftsman oil or Honda oil 🏸and Wrench said don't bother. I will change it anyway. I use 10W30 synthetic in all my small engines. Probably overkill but it's not that much $$$ when you are talking about a gallon of oil per year for everything.
  11. Dried out / cracked fuel lines are a common small engine problem and an easy cheap fix.
  12. How on earth does an automatic choke on a Honda lawnmower engine know what to do when? Beats me but it sure works good.
  13. If I want to drive on the beach, I'm going to Texas. Specifically, Port Aransas. Then when I get tired of the beach, I can go to the Jetty.
  14. Might get a can of starting fluid to help it out with the first try. Sure helps around here with stuff that doesn't get used all the time. Power washer needed a little help to get running before turning the gas off to the carb to run it dry before putting it away in the wellhouse for the winter.
  15. That dog knows.
  16. Another stud!
  17. I guess a fellow could go with one of those swivel rocking recliners instead of a boat seat and skip the cot. But definitely not the heater.
  18. That's nice. Couple of things I've learned about blinds. Carpeted floor is nice for keeping the noise down. A swivel boat seat works good. A layer of foam on the window sill makes for a steady and quiet rest.
  19. That family kills more big rack deer than you can imagine. Their house is a deer mount museum. The oldest son's fiance' killed another dang monster down in central Oklahoma where they live. Some folks just seem to have the knack. When it comes to killing deer, I got the knack for killing eaters.
  20. Grandson got a nice deer today in Vernon County. Rough scored 173. Boone and Crockett correct? Hard to tell from the photo but counting the little points I think I see twelve. And here's the guy who taught him how to do it. Great family.
  21. St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Jefferson County are all the big city. So are Clay and Jackson.
  22. Every time I tried it I wound up with one fish. Glad it's working out better for you.
  23. Who mounts a 2.5 lb smallmouth that they had to grow in a tank anyway? Only in the big city.🤓
  24. how big of a tank and was there anything else alive in it?
  25. Native fish are stone cold killers and do not do well in an aquarium setting. A big tank like Bass Pro size is needed.
