We've had about 3 inches this week. So far, it's been coming down nicely instead of downpour. But downpours remain in the forecast. I did take the precaution of cleaning out several leaf and stick dams from our ditches. No need to see my gravel down on the county road.
Greys are native. The red fox are all English import descendants.
Once you hear and know the Grey Fox spring mating bark you will listen for it in February and March from now on.
That's about how long my nephew lasted after we built hives, got a spinner, the outfits, everything. Beekeeping is fun, but a lot of work and filled with pitfalls that can quickly take the fun (and most of the honey) out of it.
I think a collapsed bridge indicates it was poorly designed. We don't build bridges where there aren't roads these days either.... I'll take today thanks.
The biologists will figure it out. Hope the politicians get on board with taking care of a fishery. Sometimes, just knowing the answer to a question isn't enough. Other times we humans do OK.
Poor injury ridden Chiefs led by a struggling Patrick Mahomes, running backs picked up off the street and basically no wide receiving corps worth mentioning. Still put a WHIPPING on the 49'ers. Spagnolo (aka The Wolf from Pulp Fiction) is a defensive genius. Three interceptions, six knockdowns, the 49'er's main running back gained a whopping 54 yards. Man it's fun to be a Chiefs fan these days.
Fried green tomatoes and cheese stuffed jalapeno's. The peppers were surprisingly mild, but with good flavor. Cherokee Purples are still the best, fried or ripe.
Lee Fine is a picnic compared to that dinky one in Osage Beach. Landed there once at night in a twin Beech with a pilot that liked Margaritas. Once only.
