Somewhere between 1" and 78" probably covers it here too.🤓

I fired up the generator yesterday and filled gas cans. Prepared for power outage in this upcomng storm, and as we all know, being prepared means it won't be needed. 🎯 So go ahead and thank me now. By the way, this is only good for Missouri. You Arkansas types are on your own.😎

I'm used to this kind of thing from the Chiefs.

A great dog from yesteryear. This photo is from 1979. Taken on Long Branch Lake on a flight day. I can remember it like it was this morning. RIP Dexter, I still think of you often. Edit: Oopise, I just confirmed it was actually 1983. Still qualifies as yesteryear though.

I just saw a weather forecast for Florida that included Iguanas falling out of trees. So be careful.😵

Phil thinks moderation actions should be explained and I'm fine with that, so here you go. 1. The first thread was locked by me due to multiple personal insults in the thread, not what the video did or did not present. 2. I deleted the second post of the same video because the first thread went bad and there is no reason to expect anything different in the follow up posts of the same video. 3. I have no idea if deleting the original post in the second thread also deleted the first thread because of the same content. But no one intentionally deleted the first thread.

Best to stay flexible in your plans.

Happy Birthday to a great fisherman and even better guide. And many happy returns.

I saw guys with RC boats doing that at Bagnell back in the '80's. Went fishing in Canada in the late 1970's. Northern Saskatchewan in early June. Ice was not fully out on the big lake (LakeAthapapascow) where we fished for lake trout. We camped out on an island one night. Water was about 20 feet deep pretty far out from shore and then dropped off a cliff to I dunno, 100 feet. Anyway you had to have bait in the deep water to catch anything and it was too far to cast. We had two boats and took turns taking baits far enough out and dropping them. Worked too. Best lake trout I ever ate was that night on that island. About the ice - the wind changed in the night and blew ice up on the side of the island where the boats were tied up. Made for an interesting next day. But we finally made it back to the dock.

I caught the virus

There's research happening on that front as I type. If there's a GMO shot developed as an outcome of that work that gives full immunity, I'll be right in line. -
Colder the better according to the guys that did mine.

I had my orchard trimmed last week. Saved decent sized branches for smoking wood. The smaller stuff was run through a chipper and put in a pile separate from the other chipped stuff. Going to add a handful to the hot coals right before I put the elk burger on. Sides are asparagus and field peas. Here's what the chips look like. Not at all like the finer stuff I see for sale in the BBQ shops. I think it might be OK. I'll take some more pictures later and give my impressions. Okay here's how it went: That is one pink burger. Hot fire Chips added And the burger is on Halfway done, warming the bread too Plated An outstanding burger. Seasoned with garlic and Lawry's was it. Using the chips was super easy and gave the burger and the bread enough smoke to taste really good without being overpowering. Which fruit wood tends towards anyway. Sides were nice too. The field peas are basically small blackeyed peas as far as taste and texture. Asparagus tender crisp is always welcome. The warmed panera bread went just fine. I'd say that dinner will hold me 'til I get someplace where I can find something to eat. There's a pretty good size pile of those chips. I'd like to bag some up to keep and to give away before it starts turning into mulch. Anybody have any suggestions where to find something like that? Burlap or a mesh bag would be perfect. Maybe find a few sandbags somewhere?

I say you need to abide by the forum rules and don't deliberately misspell words to get around the word censor.

You would know. 🎯

fishinwrench has a warning for not one but two deliberately misspelled words to get around the word censor in the same post.

And statisticians. We've got experts here on nearly everything under the sun. Predictable who thinks college is a waste eh?

College does a lot of good things for a lot of people, but a couple of things it doesn't do is instill common sense or a moral compass.

I spent a week in a beachfront campground there a long time ago. It was awesome. Have fun. We're looking for someplace to go too. Never been to Savannah so it's on the radar.

Hope the weather is good for you.

On average, holders of a Bachelor's degree earn just about twice as much over their lifetime as a person with a high school diploma. Unless a person hates having money, it's definitely worth it.

Not sure if anybody has told you yet, but Myrtle Beach is not in Florida.

Not the Keys, I can tell that much. But that leaves quite a bit of Florida....

Does she think reading books is a waste of time and money? I say if you have the time and the money tell her to shove it, I already applied and have been accepted. See you later, I'm moving to the dorm with the rest of the freshmen, someplace where I don't have to burn wood to stay warm, blow leaves or clean deer for the neighbors.

Whiskey likes to go camping. Even if it's just in the backyard to escape the house during that awful covid lockdown. Her two claims to fame are she will steal any bit of food in reach, and for some odd reason, seems to adore me.
