Might get a can of starting fluid to help it out with the first try. Sure helps around here with stuff that doesn't get used all the time. Power washer needed a little help to get running before turning the gas off to the carb to run it dry before putting it away in the wellhouse for the winter.
That's nice. Couple of things I've learned about blinds. Carpeted floor is nice for keeping the noise down. A swivel boat seat works good. A layer of foam on the window sill makes for a steady and quiet rest.
That family kills more big rack deer than you can imagine. Their house is a deer mount museum. The oldest son's fiance' killed another dang monster down in central Oklahoma where they live. Some folks just seem to have the knack. When it comes to killing deer, I got the knack for killing eaters.
Grandson got a nice deer today in Vernon County. Rough scored 173. Boone and Crockett correct? Hard to tell from the photo but counting the little points I think I see twelve.
And here's the guy who taught him how to do it. Great family.
The warmest boots I have are a pair of those old Sorel pac boots with the inner felt booties. Feet just never get cold in them. Walking is not good but they sure are warm.
She'd never make it as an owl. We had one take a rabbit out in the yard a few weeks ago and even I felt sorry for that poor rabbit. Seemed like it took forever for dinner to expire.
I have the Bass Pro Guidewear bibs and parka. Money very well spent. Totally wind proof, never been wet in it and my bibs do have a front zipper. I just washed it for the first time ever. Totally catfish slimed it on that last trip to Truman. Had it loose in the back of the truck on the way home and when I got in the topper to unpack it reeked. Seems to have washed and dried just fine. Did it according to the recommendations on the goretex website.
Fully recommended.
I've been on a health food kick lately. This morning I made scrambled egg, jalapeno and cheese quesadilla and topped it with leftover chili and diced onions finished with a nice squirt of Red Gold ketchup. Oh yeah baby, health food!
I happily field dressed one for my neighbor yesterday evening. He's had both shoulders replaced and took an ambulance ride last week for a broken rib. He's a great neighbor and I love him and his wife dearly. So no hundred dollars. But the rumor is a six pack of Heineken may magically appear near my back door later today.
