    I'm thinking weather is highly secondary to fellowship, food and fun. Last year's deal was the most fun I've ever had on Taney. BUT it was good Phil had some real fire to get the charcoal going. Man, it was damp everywhere.

    Coconut oil fueled diesel vehicles in the Philippines (and I'm sure other places) during WWII. Seems poised to make a comeback as well. Whale oil lamps are probably not going to make a comeback.

    Never forget how the noise from wind turbines causes cancer and you can't watch TV if the wind isn't blowing. And regarding solar power, how do you fly an electric plane at night? Good questions, right?

To summarize again: For fiberglass the leading consuming industry is transportation followed closely by construction. For carbon fiber composites, the leading consuming industry is Aviation, Aerospace and Defense. Wind does get a mention for both products, but it isn't near the top for either.

    I get what you are saying about nuclear waste. But what on a windmill presents a similar problem? Don't say fiberglass or carbon fiber, there's a lot more of those products in other applications than wind turbines. Boats and cars for a couple of examples.

    I seldom fish below the Branson Landing. You'll be able to fish for quality and quantity below Fall Creek. Above Fall Creek is more big fish territory with restrictions. Best of luck.

    I told Janet this was a bit unusual for a jigfest. Nobody got wasted or really even close and we all caught the heck out of 'em. At 72, I've had enough hangovers, but thankfully not enough good times with good friends. Old AND new. What a time.

    Saturday afternoon in the bluff hole at Buffalo City was nothing short of incredible. We caught somewhere around 100 between us. Nothing remarkable other than that tiger striped smallmouth. Later that night I took my only picture of the whole trip. Good times, thanks to everybody who made it. Found a new friend in Ray Ray. Heck of a fisherman and all around good guy. Folks who missed it, there's always next year.
