If 10% of his stories had any truth to them at all he'd be dead or in prison. But a good imagination is entertaining for sure. James Thurber proved that one.

I used to ride my bike to work - about ten miles one way - every day. Spokane to Reeds Spring Junction/Branson West. A nice ride is a great way to get ready mentally for the work day. I stopped at a C-store one day going home to get a coffee when it was freezing rain Older woman walking in when I rode up said "You poor thing. Did you lose your license?" I am sure this is a thing you will never get or like. But hey, we all have our likes and dislikes. I can say getting from point A to point B on a bike is not the same as in a car or truck. -

Exactly. I've had close calls walking into Wal-Mart. Those rolling coal smoke billowing diesel cartoon pickups are another matter altogether. PEOPLE! We all breathe that air! -

How many of those cyclists do you think DONT own at least one vehicle? And guess what. You could leave five minutes earlier if it's that big of a deal to you. -

FR 186 is a lot better. So is Smyrna Road to Parch Corn& Cottonwood. But Cottonwood has a couple of serious hills as does Smyrna east of Parch Corn. -

What really chaps me is when the local High School track teams take to the road. Not to mention all the 5K, half marathons and other so called "Races" that make me go slow around them. I mean really. Use the sidewalk for cryin out loud. -
Use it in good health. No charge.😎

I found my first grey pubic hair last week, totally freaked me out. Normally that wouldn't be such a big deal but this one was on my cheeseburger.

Seems I'm out for this jigfest. Cannot imagine getting in and out of a boat until fully healed. Do carry on and have a great time. Dang the bad luck.☹️

I slipped on slick floor and did the splits. Agonizing pain, couldn't get up to save me. First ambulance ride for me to ER. It's getting better pretty quickly though. At this point the knee splint that I have to wear for a while is the biggest PITA. Can't imagine what yours was like.

I'm questionable now. Dislocated my left hip saturday. But it is getting better.

Well. I can say with no doubt that buffalo ribs are some of the best fried fish I ever had. Commercial fished Missouri River at Jefferson City.

Operation and Maintenance workers, both male and female, basically trained and certified in theory that were tasked with running water and sewer systems. Hard to find good people in that field on a good day.
-
I've always enjoyed getting to the root of whatever is in front of me. I tried and tried and tried and ultimately failed to instill in an O&M staff running water and sewer systems to not just fix a problem. But to find and fix what caused the problem to surface.

How so?

How on earth did I forget that recommendation? It really is great.

South Dakota is great. Sioux Falls to start, then Corn Palace, then the Sacajewa statue memorial, then drive through the badlands, then Wall Drug, then Rapid City and the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore, then drive through Custer Park and dodge bison on the way to Hot Springs. Take a soak in "The Plunge" there and visit the Mastodon site. Head into Wyoming and Devils Tower on the way up to Dubois on the Wind River. Dubois is a cool town. Butch Cassidy ran the general store there for a while, and there's a Rocky Mountain Sheep museum that's impressive. Then drive west through the mountains to Yellowstone. After Yellowstone, the Tetons and Jackson Hole on the Snake River. After that somebody else needs to take over other than go up the Columbia River Valley. Have a safe and fun trip. I promise you these ideas are worth the time. It really is a beautiful area.

I was reading about ice fishing up on the great lakes and it appears prostitution is a thing in the ice fishing shanty villages that pop up in the wintertime there. So. There you go onehsot, sometimes there's more to an activity in Outdoor Life than what you usually would think of.
