  1. you guys sure had a good trip. Congrats on all the good fishing
  2. I'm not much of a golf player but it's apparent much of everything seems to be for the well off any more. Everything goes up except for wages.
  3. What is a Ned??
  4. Anyone see the weather for Saturday, just seen a preview online @ ky3 for Springfield, rain, windy & in the 40s, crazy weather!!
  5. I meant to post on how I did Monday Quillback but was to wore out that evening. I only had 4 keepers, 2 in morning and 2 late afternoon with a bunch of shorts between times. A fellow at the resort had the same issues, I got lucky this morning and caught 2 keepers, 1 on swimbait and the other on shakey head. Monday they were all on shakey head, so your not the only one who struggled.
  6. I had 5 keepers on the senko today, one on shakey head, lost 2 very nice ones, story of our life heh! My best fish came on bluff type banks with shelf type large rock along main channel. Caught a bunch of 14 3/4- 7/8". Was fortunate to see Champ and his wife on the lake again, great people they are!!
  7. From the looks of that background in the picture I'd say that's my spot! Lol, I see you got your motor fixed, hopefully it didn't cost a arm and a leg. Heading down this afternoon for a couple days myself.
  8. If no one does I have one I can bring
  9. I believe crazy4fishin and I were going to bring some burgers, not sure whats on his mind but I will, do we need burger buns for the pulled pork burgers & do we need a grill?? If so i will bring a grill and charcoal.
  10. Makes no difference to me, just a fun outing & a chance to meet all the people.
  11. I would not be surprised if he is already on that bite.
  12. From the looks of the wind at home, happy I wasn't on the lake today. Nice fish RPS
  13. Nice day of fishing, sure going to be good eating
  14. I've been using the buckeye spot remover shakey head for quite some time and have had quite a bit of success with them. I have boss heads also but have not used them near as much.
  15. Lol, it's not even my rig, seen it on champion FB page, thought it was funny, somewhat truthful also.
  16. Great, I think I figured out why I have lost some MPH recently.
  17. Sounds like a ruff day for sure Mr. Babler, get some rest and get ready for the next outing.
  18. I was using the shakey head the other day with a shaky tail worm, they were having that as well. Good luck!
  19. I agree with the wind ketchup, when it is strong the wind flat out wears me down to the bone, better off resting up during the middle of the day.
  20. Nite time, I agree, they don't get big by being dumb, a lot of daytime activity with all the boats, get some warm nights should help.
  21. I got to fish yesterday morning also, I was able to pick some up on a shakey head, no keepers, they would pick it up and come toward the boat & could hardly tell, sneaky suckers i tell ya. On a good note went to Battery outfitters in Golden Monday morning, took the battery in question with me, it was 2 years out of warranty and he told me it should last much longer than that and replaced it at no cost. So a big thanks to them, I'm thinking his name was Tony but not sure.
  22. Sorry to here about your dilemma, good thing you were close no doubt, sooner or later I reckon Murphy catches up with all of us, he caught up with me Sunday in TM battery issue. Good luck getting things back together.
  23. Like RPS said, work it like a crankbait, keep contact with the bottom, if it snags a bit I twitch the tip of the rod, give it a good snap, a lot of the bites I get is when the bait is moving pretty quick or after a good snap of the rod, there are times it can be amazingly difficult to detect a strike as well, I think they suck it in so fast and not strike at it. I caught one good one today but had trolling motor battery troubles, going to Golden Mo. in the morning. After 3 hours one of my batteries drops down to 11 volts while the other one reads 12.4
  24. Nice fishing trip for sure, congrats. Your buddy got spoiled alright, nothing wrong with that. As far as pneumonia, there have been some bad viruses going around for sure that are hard to kick, finally getting on the mends myself of one. Congrats again!
  25. I have been using the Missle baby d-bomb on a wobble head the last few years and have flat tore them up on it. That is what I was using 2 weekends ago also, now that the water has come up and is stained a bit we will see what will happen tomorrow. Been wanting to try something different but have had such good results I can't seem to put it down. Interesting how many results we each come up with using differences techniques and baits. Go get em and good luck!!
