  1. Let me second that with a big Thank You!! You are a good man Ben.
  2. I thought so also, makes me want to consider chasing some of them early next spring, I caught one nice one early this spring in Mill Creek while bass fishing, thinking about where, and when I caught it, think about some tactics to use, spend a little time working on it and you never know. I think it would be nice to break things up a bit for a change. It would not surprise me if there is quite a few in the Shell Knob area. I have caught others in the area as well thru the years, just never focused on fishing for them. There is probably more than we think. I imagine RPS has caught a few from the area.
  3. Seen this video from Conservation dept, thought I would share it as some have shown interest. Hope it comes thru WALLEYE FISHING - Winter and early spring are some of the best times to go fishing for walleye. Find out more in this short video. 4. Nice fish Pepe. Was the wife with you and did she get some of them??
  5. Thank you Sir!!
  6. I don't think it's that complicated of a issue, It all starts in the home. I believe those of us hear on this forum were fortunate to have been brought up by good parents and taught to have respect for other people, & to have even a bit more respect for those that help & protect the citizens,,, law enforcement, firefighters, medical personal, etc. We all are very fortunate, Not to give anyone a excuse for there actions, but for those that did not have that atmosphere in there childhood is sad. We all got in some kind of trouble when younger but the good parenting we had as kids comes to light as we grow up. Thanks Mom & Dad!!
  7. I was surprised to see it, I don't think it will be a big seller being the success everyone is having with the tried & true Ned baits. JMO
  8. Gene larew is coming out with a " Ned rig inch worm " also, I can't get it to come up, maybe someone here can look into it. Looks like a paddle tail ring worm actually that you can break off in sections I believe
  9. Wow! I bet that was a lot of fun for her. Way to go
  10. nice fish, what was the bait of choice??
  11. I agree with you Warrior, I believe the cloud cover and inclement weather are the better times to fish , as most of us have the gear to take on the weather anyway, and I agree with Wrench, as far as LOZ is it's the nonstop barrage of the waves that never dissipate, I had one of my best days ever a few years back in late May, early June on LOZ in a good soaking rain & had the lake to myself.
  12. I would be willing to bet that if you stayed and fished in the area where you will be lodging, get out there when it is as quiet as it will get, whether real early or late, and stay concentrated on that area, I believe you would catch plenty, That lake is full of fish, if one can just find the time to concentrate on fishing and not being swamped, you'll have fun. Good luck to you
  13. I have a very close friend of mine down on Indian creek where the door is open, but you couldn't pay me to go down on that lake fishing in the summer season, It's just to crazy. After Memorial weekend I tend to stay off the lake
  14. very nice fish indeed, I bet those guys were just tickled to get into them.
  15. Nice fish RPS. Very tasty indeed
  16. people should heed this info and boating would be much more enjoyable for all
  17. Nice fish, way to getting them after dark, isn't nothing any better than Fishin under the stars. Are the skeeters bad at night or was is tolerable?
  18. I agree Quillback , I would surely like to get down and try a wobblehead and creature at nite
  19. Well,, Congratulations!!
  20. Where exactly is Gibson point if it isn't a big secret??
  21. Thanks for the color tip Champ, I will have to try em out
  22. I have been using the Baby D Bomb in Green Pumpkin purple in the spring with a wobble head. And for me, it has been probably the best bait I have used, smallmouth, largemouth, and kentucks, all just destroyed it, and might I add, some very respectable fish!! I imagine the bigger profile, D Bomb would be a great pitchin bait & casting bait as well, was hoping to get down to do some night fishing but have been delayed do to upcoming arm surgery. As far as what abkeenan quoted as being soft, yes they are, When running low I would take some Gel super glue and do a repair job and end up getting a few more. Kind of like putting a plug in a tire to get you home! LOL Good luck and post some pics!!
  23. Yep, definitely good info here, now you just have to get out there and apply yourself, concentrate on areas you fish, learn those areas well and carry all that experience to new places. Big payoff when you put it all together and get something figured out, just remember Rome wasn't built in a day and do not get discouraged!!
