Heck, back in the day my family would do that. Not sure when they started with the in possession law, but I can remember many times back in the late 70's and early 80's my dad would haul us to Taney and we would stay a couple of days and limit out each time. Then we would head home where he would clean them and put them in the freezer. Lather, rinse, and repeat for several weeks. We probably had over 100 in the freezer at any given time. I don't keep any anymore. I can remember the last time we fished together and it didn't go as planned. We were on Capps fishing and I was having a stellar day. He was not and he got mad because I was letting them all go. He ended up just leaving early and he didn't want to fish with me again after that. Sad but true.
