Never been to Grand but I can assure you they won't have a Classic at a lake that doesn't have the potential for good weights. I watched Edwin Evers absolutely put on a clinic with a little finesse jig up the Elk so they do live there. If I went there I would stay away from the Elk. After watching that final day Edwin had I have to believe everyone and their brother has hammered that area relentlessly.
Got home from work and she was waiting for me. They shipped it UPS in a cardboard tube, very stable to say the least. They wrapped the tip and 4 guides in bubble wrap. Very happy with everything and the rod is great. I'll be using it for neds and shaky heads. Now what to do with this tube? It needs to be re-used. Some might confuse it with a Bazooka if I throw it over my shoulder.
Do you think there is a shelf life on line? I have some 2 year old maxima, brand new in its original pack that was stored inside. Do any lines go bad from mono to braid to fluoro? just curious
Was going to buy a new rod online and have it shipped to the house. Anyone have any horror stories dealing with certain companies where the rod arrives broken? I've heard Amazon is terrible about it. I'm looking at a Dobyns rod.
For all you livescopers, Jimmy and Stacy King will be on Table Rock using the scope. It's on Pursuit channel at 2am and then I'm sure they will rerun it.
The last couple years I’ll grab whatever I can for 1 trip back to the truck. Usually a couple poles and my best baits for the trip. That way if they steal the rest at least I’m not shut down completely for the rest of the trip. It really is ridiculous, and I always hear they are buying drugs. What are we saying 2 110s and a rock crawler gets you an ounce of weed? If they are pawning it , these shops around these lakes gotta wake up. It’s like the catalytic converters that get stolen and sold.
Curious to know what guys are using for replacing trebles on cranks and top waters like a spook or sexy dawg. Hook size and what hooks are the sharpest in your opinion.
That’s as good a reason as any. Shad slowly sink to the bottom when they die do they not? I’ve heard suspended tail down, suspended nose down , slow sink. Who knows. We also thought heavy line that wasn’t green would bother fish, that’s been proven wrong with that umbrella contraption.
Couldn't agree more Bill. People can argue till the cows come home about a certain play or who got hurt in any of these games. The players who put that helmet on know it's all part of the game. The craziest play was Georgias first drive and Stetson ran and dropped the ball. It bounced right back to his chest and he fell on it. That goes the other way who knows what happens in that game. The walk on beat the Heisman winner which is pretty darn cool in this new age of NIL $.

They are in St Peters and I've never had anything bad there.
The one thing that might come of this is kids will stay in school longer. With all this money flying around these players are pros right out of high school now. We might actually see a guy play 4 and 5 years at a school or schools before he leaves for NFL or NBA.
I got Georgia at +145 money line to win the whole thing before the MIchigan game. That was just too good to pass up considering they are now -145 on the money line heading into the Bama game. I don't have to worry about the spread. Georgia is healthier in the secondary now and Metchie is out this go around. It will still come down to line play, it always does.
