  1. For that many guys I would pick a few resorts out and make some phone calls. If they can't accommodate I would think they could point you in the right direction. First of May is a busy time , good luck
  2. Is water temps in the 50s the "right time" ? All the research I've done on the fall it seems like the crankbait bite gets going when that water gets there. I think the Fall confuses people the most.
  3. I did not sign up either but I think it sounds like a great opportunity. From checking it out registration has closed. I read the finals will be at the lake up the road a couple days later if I'm not mistaken. NBC is covering it. Good luck
  4. I saw an early line of 24 for the Kentucky game. Kentucky is playing good ball but the game is at home and Georgia is just a different animal all together. I MIGHT be inclined to take the points though. As for the Florida game both teams have 2 weeks to prepare and its being played in Jacksonville, I will guess 13 for a spread. Georgia wins it in the trenches. As I said before they are still working on their passing game due to injuries. Their starting QB isn't even playing and their receiving corps was hit hard. Personally I think they are just going to get better which is a scary thought.
  5. Nick seems to be having problems with Jimbo at the moment. I'm sure Kirby is taking notes.
  6. That largemouth is about as big a fish I've seen on this forum in a while, very nice. Fishing has been more than tough from what I hear so you should be proud of your day. Ya gotta love that spook, I don't own a clear one
  7. There are so many ways a person could go with that, but I won't do it. I always appreciate your posts Quill, you paint a good picture. Happy Birthday
  8. You guys talk up coaching too much. I'm more interested in who is doing the tackling and blocking. I know what Georgia is capable of and they will be holding that trophy up at the end. You wanna talk putt putt contests go ahead. I've seen Saban putt and it wasn't pretty.😀
  9. Daniels is out, I'll still say 34-13 Dawgs
  10. Everyone and their brother is taking the points, number is down to 16.5 at a lot of places. JT Daniels is a game time decision. Unleash the Dawg defense.
  11. I know you don't like giving your money to Johnny so I would be willing to bet a $250 gift card to tackle warehouse on the SEC championship game. No points we can call it a pickem unless their are a lot of injuries which we could revisit later.
  12. Without getting into half points this spread should probably be closer to Bama Ole Miss which is 14 or 15. Georgia o-line is a work in progress and their 2 best pass catchers haven't played yet. When it comes together watch out because the defense is the real deal. Number 99 might be the best player in the country not named Aaron Donald.
  13. Sorry Razorback fans that pig is going to be roasted in Athens. I personally think this Georgia team will win it all this year. They are loaded and only going to get better as the season plays out.
  14. There are times when I feel like those are bluegill or small bass just playing around with my jig or worm. They have no intention of really eating it they are just seeing what they can get away with in their world so to speak.
  15. Welcome to the wonderful world of boat ownership, it can be a real joy at times.
  16. Its hard for me to watch drop shot tournaments.
  17. I think I'm going to buy the PS60LF, 6 foot light. I was going to go ultra light but I think the light will work fine and I could also throw a ned with it if I'm not chasing crappie.
  18. Freshwater Fishing Rods - St. Croix Rod (stcroixrods.com) It looks like they have started production again. A lot of what was sold out looks to be available. What length and power do you guys prefer for casting light jigs for crappie?
  19. That is a great day in my book for this time of year, well done. I bet if you took a poll the next 30 days would rate as some of the toughest fishing of the year. Its just so nice to be out there when the leaves change and it cools down, fishing is secondary. Not to mention there is less traffic too.
  20. Ditto on that. Champ hit it on the head with the folks out there who are hesitant on the vax and masks. It some times boils down to common sense and doing what's right for yourself and those around you. SPEED LIMITS INCLUDED
  21. Chris Johnston Wins Toyota Series Event on St. Lawrence River - Major League Fishing He says he ran hundreds of miles during the course of the event, he deserves the money 🙂
  22. Because you MIGHT KILL SOMEONE!!!! I hope you were just kidding by saying that. If not please take your business elsewhere.
  23. The one thing I always remember about this time of year is when football season starts its time to pull out the football head jigs. Someone on here said that before I'm sure.
  24. Wheeler is the best right now, I don’t think there is any sense arguing about that. He is the best “tournament” fisherman and that’s important because there is a difference between that and guiding or just fun fishing. I would never say that he will never be passed up by someone though. Lebron is right on MJs heels and I never thought I would say that was possible in my lifetime! There is always some kid that will come along and blow it all up just like Wheeler is doing. KVD had a good run it’s just inevitable things end. Please no one bring up Tom Brady though or I might puke 😊
  25. I know Ill probably get killed for saying this as its already been said I'm sure. I think you should eliminate tournaments during the spawn or at least tournaments that involve putting fish in the live well and bringing them in to a weigh in, April and May for most of us. It hurts my soul when I see these fish on stage full of eggs and I think it would help fish populations or at least give these fish a real chance to do their thing. I know I don't want anybody dragging me out of bed when I'm trying to do my thing.😇
