It's been a couple 3 years, but fished the run down down from the bridge next to the fish runs and had good luck. this exact pattern and color, but size 16, picture is a size 12.

So, here's a pin to the location where you can park, walk down to creek.. fish up and down the creek, they are very spooky, recommend going down stream a ways, there's a trail and fish holes and riffles.. small midges (i.e. blood midge. zebra, etc.) with 6x tippet. Another warm water species you can target on the fly and the region are Wipers (Hybrids between white bass and stripers) . They are pelagic so they move around the reservoirs, but lots of KS/Mo reservoirs stock them (Truman, Clinton, Northfork, ect.). They travel in schools and even though they can't reproduce they still have spawning behavior so in the spring you often find them in abundance off of dams that you can fish with a fly rod. When you get on them it's a blast, and they put up an awesome fight. In my opinion very much like some saltwater species. I fish for them with a 8wt. (6 or 7 will do) and sinking line or leader. Clousers or anything representing a shad. Of course a boat with electronics works the best, otherwise follow the birds or busting shad. They will mix white bass, and they can get very big quick, love catching them.

Fished Saturday through Monday, drifted cable to narrows, this midge pattern/color (size 16/18) produced entire length. Hope it's ok that I commented on this here.

If you get a chance watch the new documentary "Live the Stream" about Joe Humphreys. Fantastic movie, very cool guy, and they fish the Little Red in the movie. Don't have to be a fly angler to enjoy, great for the whole family. It's available on demand.

I never have enough small stuff, maybe I should use bigger tippet Oh yeah, don't do a ton a dry fly fishing in the midwest, but out west ty adams, griffiths, sulfer and mayfly pattern

Saw a couple of big browns cruising upon by the cable on river right, came back the next morning really early and threw fly rods with sink tip link and large articulated deceivers, no browns, but multiple crappie, white bass, kentucky bass, red eye's, and smallmouths, did they get sucked through the flood gates, or is the warmer water making them active? seemed like a bio mass of fish there, curios why?

Drifted Cable to the Narrows Sunday with 4 flood gates and 4158 cfs, temps upper 60's to 70, water was a touch clouded, but pretty clear in some places, had lots of action. Rig was indicator to SG split shot about 8 feet with a point and dropper fly. Attached are images of bugs they liked, little mangled, fortunately fish mangled.

Added a world map to https://flytyerworld.com for fly tying video boxes. It organizes all of those youtube tying videos by body of water and species. Taney and the White are included. Also have a box for Christmas Island GT's, which is on my bucket list. Not sure how to get there though
