In middle of November 2019, up by the cable eddy, bluff blank, caught Whites, Crappie, Kentucky, and Smallmouth on this trip in the same place, spill gates where open, believe they where all coming over the top and hanging around the eddy. All caught stripping a streamer with a fly rod, caught trout too, incredibly fun, never new what you where going to get next.

@Phil Lilley turned me on to this pattern. I fish it a lot in all conditions year round. Rolan Duffield designed this fly and according to a video Phil made, material was from his dog, I use Awesome Possum. It's an interestingly simple pattern. In my experience it performs better, or at least as well, as a more realistically tied scud patterns. Rolan indicates that the longer fibers "breath" in the water. It's a very quick ty, Phil pointed out to me that trimming can be eliminated if the dubbing to about 1/2", making it an even quicker ty.

Playing around with editing software and put together a tying video. I love this pattern, fish it with sink tip in low to moderate generation. Anybody else throw this?

I'll be down Friday a.m and will fish and stay for dinner, but will head back to my place in Branson after dinner, should be able to be back for Saturday too. I can take two folks fishing in my Towee, if anyone wants to fly fish and does not have gear, let me know I have plenty. I'll bring a desert for Friday night dinner.

Chesapeake Stripers - Headed to a full Moratorium?

That's a bummer, had a chance to take a fly fishing trip in Chesapeake bay, got caught in a wicked storm on way back to the boat ramp, very Nautical, giant swells. We where in a 20' skiff, new it was dicey conditions, guide had to work the throttle to handle the swells and following seas. He was cool as a cucumber, kind of like when you check out the body language of a flight crew when things get wonky on a flight. That is until we got back the ramp, where he admitted he was a bit worried, we where all soaked Other than that, very beautiful and fishey place. -
@Daryk Campbell Sr Thanks, isn't funny how much bigger they look in real life, pics don't really do them justice unless you "long arm" them
