  1. Congrats @Quillback! Great looking stripers buddy. sounds like a fine time on the water.
  2. Bo the packing industry is considered essential and it appears that most have remained open throughout this time. However, there have been large numbers of people coming down with COVID in that industry. I am pretty comfortable about the reliability of there being an increase of 260 cases last week here in Maryland that were workers from the poultry processing plants about 60 miles from my house. They have not closed those plants, but may soon. I read from MSNBC (now this could be fake news) that over 1600 new cases in Iowa that were workers from meat packing facilities. Some of those plants may have closed. I have heard that some farmers (again not fully vetted) are killing their animals since they are not able to send them to packing/processing plants and effectively cutting their losses of additional feed and care costs.
  3. Like any profession there are good doctors and bad doctors. With something like a polio prognosis, I would seek a second or third opinion fi that is an option.
  4. My statement about immunity refers to what many think about the flu shot. Most don't know that it is basically the best guess in terms of the strains that they include in each year's shot.
  5. Good luck Marty.
  6. This made me laugh. I'm a big fan of the original series and Shatner overacting😁.
  7. I wouldn't say that I am antivaccine. There are vaccines that I support. But I don't get flu shots. Especially don't believe that getting a flu shot makes you immune to the flu. Too many strains. The issue with COVID mutating at a high rate is a big concern for me whether a vaccine would be effective.
  8. Mitch have you listened to any Strunz and Farah? I like these guys.
  9. I saw that Costco was going to limit meat purchases in their stores nationwide. It's not the production folks having the issues. It's the processing plants. Losing lots of workers to COVID. The biggest outbreak near us has been the counties with the chicken processing centers. About 10 times the number of cases than in our county.
  10. Lay lady lay.. Lay across my big brass bed. Stay lady stay.. stay with you man awhile.
  11. Saw them in concert. It was a great show.
  12. I'm glad to have experienced the Wilburys. A great bunch of talent and ..Well It's alright, we're going to the end of the line."
  13. I also heard that the state amphibian is the bullfrog. Also a supposed invasive in Missouri. Certainly is a problem in places like Texas and Arizona since they eat most things that are smaller than they are. My personal #1 hit listed invasive has to be FIRE ANTS!
  14. I think that these guys are pretty cool. The leaf/leaves are up for most of the year then it dies off. Then the flowers emerge before the leaves come back out again. Would see lots of plants through most of the year, but I have always missed seeing them in bloom.
  15. MTV had enough rock videos in the early days to keep my attention. As well as Martha Quinn☺!
  16. This was the very first video to ever air on MTV. I was never much of a 80s pop fan.
  17. What about Pop up videos for the younger folks on this forum? Didn't like the music so much, but the pop ups were entertaining .

    What's Cooking?

My wife made a great chicken ala king dish last night. Got me thinking. Poll Question: When eating chicken ala king do you put it on Toast Rice
  20. Looks great Seth!
  21. It may not be the nicotine. Look at the folks that vape or take a nicotine patch to compare against those that smoke to see if it is nicotine. I believe that it's very likely that the tar inside of a smokers lungs makes it difficult for the virus to come in contact with actual cells. Just a thought.
