  1. I had to double dip and catch a few in Missouri to get over 70 for the weekend but that's another post 😁.
  2. Ham and Les caught a couple more bass Sunday morning. Ham's was a largemouth. Les' may have been a spot. Weather and water were not our friends on Sunday. You can deal with one or the other. Both being bad ran us off the water by 10:30. I landed only five stockers and none of us cracked double digit fish landed.
  3. I don't think that the guys with the boats ever get enough thanks at events like this. I appreciate the efforts that Ham, Brett, Les, Richard, Phil, and Marty to get us nonboaters out to the fish. You guys are willing to position the boat, chase down hung tackle, even teach others how to fish those pockets and seams. You conference and pore over the generation data and figure out where to go. You all definitely give up some if not many opportunities at fish so that the netmen like me have a chance at a possible fish of a lifetime. Thanks to all of you! I haven't fished with all of them(yet). I do get to fish with @Ham quite a bit. I learn so much from him. I just hope that I am able to contribute to him as much as I receive from our fishing together. I guess since I am willing to count fin rays or lateral line scales, and provide some Excel help. Maybe that tips the balance ever so slightly😁.
  4. A couple of nice browns that @Quillback caught.
  5. As always had a great time with some great guys. Even got to fish with a couple of new guys. Fished with @Quillback, @LittleRedFisherman, @JestersHKfrom a boat even a guy that won't be named. He and his wife sure can cook😁. I missed fishing with. @Terrierman. Get well buddy. Can't wait to see you back out on the water. Personally I felt that I fished poorly. Couldn't catch a brown or a cuttie while others around me were landing tremendous fish. I got got to net a quite a few😁. When fishing with Brett and DJ I did get a big hit and short fight with a big fish before the hook pulled. Can't complain since I got a great conciliation fish on the next cast 😂. One of those guys will have to add that photo. The food was excellent as usual. Marty with a great sauce piquante. Though I didn't get to turn on the rice cooker. Some great pulled pork and brisket from that no named guy. Brett's fish fry was great. The Saint Louis boy's chili and chicken and dumplings were just what we needed as the weather started to turn on Sat. I didn't get to cook this trip due to living out of suitcases prior to this trip. Did bring a taste of Maryland with me, milk and dark chocolate crabs with Old Bay seasoning 😜. In between times on the water, the fellowship was great. Lots of times when tears were flowing from the laughter. Brett's laugh is contagious. Those of us there on Sat got to learn the number 1 rule as per DJ - not everyone is a winner. Or Brandon's #1 rule - don't stick your thing in there. Spoken like a dad with boys. We never know how people will think about us when they look back at events like this one. I just hope not to be in too many future stories where the answer is a question..."what is rule number 1?"😂. I don't know how many more of these that I will be able to attend. Hopefully many more. If this is the last, I just want to say that it is my pleasure to get to know and fish with the folks on this forum. Thanks @Phil Lilley! Though some day I would love to get to fish with you either on the White or Taney.
  6. Photos don't do this fish justice. First cast grass carp at Rim Shoals. Would love to say that I caught it. I was tying on a jig when Ham set the hook. I figured it to be between 38 and 42 inches. I knew it was a big fish when Ham said don't worry about the net. It won't fit.
  7. That's fine since you caught it in a Lilley's Landing boat. Won't put the stick on your boat😂.
  8. Jeff - thanks for posting those photos. As a point of reference, I'm 5'6" and that bass I'm holding taped right at 18". I even cracked a smile😌.
  9. You'll never hear me confirm that statement .
  10. Also please plan for a gratuity contribution as well.
  11. The opener is not on my to do list. Will be fishing in Arkansas instead. Likely to hit one of the parks on Monday. Good luck to everyone headed down for the opener. Should be fish biting. Can't wait to see reports.
  12. With Work and Weather may not get down in time to fish Thurs afternoon, but am planning on being at the lodge that evening. Staying to Sunday.
  13. Did not see that coming Rick. Apparently neither did you 😂.

    What's Cooking?

https://www.abc17news.com/news/business-owner-burglar-dead-after-fall-through-ceiling/1027111456 Thia happened at my favorite Asian cuisine restaurant in Columbia. Also next the the Asian market where I get the oyster and other mushrooms for the last couple of Jigfests😢. Would feel a bit weird having dinner there. May have to soldier on while I am in Columbia this week and get over that awkwardness😌.
  19. They look that way after they meet a thunderbolt.
