  1. A blond mechanic was working in an auto repair shop. He was helping one of the other mechanics on a car. When asked if the left blinker was working, he said... Yes..no..yes..no..yes..no..🤣
  2. Hey @Daryk Campbell Sr I knew exactly whom you were talking about. So no hurt feelings here 😉. Reminds me that I have to get some more hooks from the BUM. I am glad that we had a chance to meet those years ago and that you still enjoy wrangling those micros👍 I also hope that you do get out of your local spots. Some many fish to encounter and sometimes even catch and photograph. You know @snagged in outlet 3 likes those photos😁
  3. Congrats! Nice bleeding shiner.
  4. My wife screamed at me. "You haven't listened to a single word that I said. Have You?" I was taken aback and thought to myself that was a weird way to start a converstation.🤣 If you think that your husband or wife are your best friend, then think about this: If you lock them and your dog in the trunk of your car for three hours, who do you think will be glad to see you when you open up the trunk?!? 🤣
  5. Been a rough week. so some dark humor. After my father died, I went to scatter his remains in his favorite park by the river where he loved to fish. The park ranger came running up to me screaming to stop and that I could not do that in the park. "Why not?" "You have to cremate him first!"🤣
  6. Looks like tanago hooks. Can't wait to see what you catch with those😉
  7. Sounds like a great trip. Love that clear water. That jack looks like a blue runner. I have been a fan of Helios for a while.
  8. Some photos would make this a great report😉!
  9. I don't often go the extra mile. When I do it is usually because I missed my exit. 🤣 Interviewer; What do you make at your current job? Myself: Usually mistakes and inappropriate comments! 🤣 A new study found that humans eat more bananas than monkeys. I found that interesting since I don't remember the last time that I ate a monkey! 🤣
  10. @kjackson Similar joke An man heard activity in his shed and he found that two guys were in the process of stealing some of his tools and equipment. He was able to close and lock the shed door trapping the men inside the shed. He called 911 and told the police that he had the two men trapped in his shed. The dispatcher stated that all of the officers in that area were busy and unable to get to the man's property before 45 to 60 mins. The man hung up. He called back after about 5 mins. He told the dispatcher to not send any officers since he shot and killed the intruders. Within 10 mins his place was surrounded by officers. The man was ordered to open the shed, which he did and the two robbers were there and both were alive. The lead officer was very angry and shouted at the man that he lied about shooting the two robbers. The man responded, "Well you lied about being busy!" 🤣
  11. Hey @JestersHK looks like you guys are having a great time! I miss fishing those productive tailwaters and even the night bite. Would love to fish Taney again when it's a bit warmer than the last trip there. Congrats to your daughter on a nice fish. She seems to be taking well to you nocturnal fishing. Keep posting those reports. Helps me live vicariously on missed trout fishing.
  12. I agree even as a novelty purchase. If we do make it up to NH this year or next, ....maybe if I see a bottle I might change my mind.
  13. The problem that I have with them is that to me they really don't smell nice at all. You would think that they would make a great seafood stock, but that smell just puts me off. Also hard to pass on these guys to force ourselves to eat green crabs 😉
  14. Definitely my favorite section of that river😁
  15. We use green crabs as bait for blackfish.
  16. Finding potential ways of controls for invasive species are a big issue. In New Hampshire they are drinking them😉 https://bevvy.co/articles/tamworth-distilling-crab-trapper-whiskey/21215 This is a creative way of utilizing those green crabs though I doubt demand for this whiskey would really hold those populations in check. Still it is interesting enough to look for a bottle.
  17. Still a bucket list to catch asome species of marlin and/or sailfish. For us could be affordable with 5 or 6 folks. Problem would be whether you could get on the rod. Most trips may not raise more than a few marlin let along get them all hooked up. By us here it's white marlin mostly with some blues caught each year1 and it's a 60+ mile trip out to the canyons. We did go on a trip out of Jupiter. I was up in the tuna tower. I could see the sails come up into the spread. We had two hookups. One simply pulled the hook. The other came right at us jumped and cut off when it hit the line. I would love to do it again.
  18. Stories about the world record trout caught on hook and line. These are seriously large fish. Maybe not as exciting as those caught by OAF members @Bill Babler, @fmcbrandon, and @JestersHK in recent years 😉! https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/the-biggest-trout-of-all-time/?amp
  19. This is a difficult story for me. On one hand this is a great achievement for this girl. On the other does it set her up for disappointment later? Seems to me that her father is wealthy enough to pursue this goal of her breaking this record. Maybe she will be later in life to pursue similar goals in the future. I feel thar taking kids on these once in a lifetime trips could cause a where do you go from this ultimate success later in life issues. Anyway here's the story. https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/12-year-old-girl-catches-pending-world-record-blue-marlin-off-west-african-coast/
  20. Cut you a little slack buddy!
  21. Nice hybrid and a very big gizzard shad!
  22. Sounds great Jeff!
  23. I agree with this statement. Also no shame in getting beat by your significant partner if it means that you get to fish more often😁. That works for me and I get to fish a lot😅
  24. Looks like a great trip making memories. I'm sure that he is going to remember the trip where he lost 6 roostertail baits😉
