  1. I just want to catch one . I also have heard about them being used for fish and chips. I have eaten a couple of the sustainable shark species. I liked them. We didn't keep the spiny dogfish that my wife caught back in March. Maybe I'll keep one and let you know how it is if I actually can keep one on the hook.
  2. This procedure albeit with a slightly different system is one of the recommended ways of releasing those deep water bottom fish that @Quillback was talking about. Actually his moniker i believe - a quillback rockfish as well as other rockfish. To answer @fishinwrench a little further, not all fish have air or swim bladders. For example, a shark pulled from the depths would not have this issue since it is primarily their livers that provide buoyancy and not a gas filled bladder.
  3. Congrats on catching my kind of bass!
  4. Found these last night. Very funny series of videos from Kevin James. I think he is very funny😁.
  5. @yaknar congrats on a nice mixed bag of fish! I do like that logperch. They have big eyes for a small fish when they go after those bigger baits.
  6. We have rain barrels at the house in Columbia and those tree frogs would get in there and call with the barrel amplifying the sound. Our one neighbor hated them and the toads.
  7. Look up Heal-all wildflower. I think that may be what you have.
  8. pretty easy to see when they would hang out on our sliding glass doors catching bugs attracted to the dining room lights 😉
  9. Next to monarchs these are some of my daughter's favorites. We would grow dill and fennel and rear a few butterflies each year.
  10. Sent PM on possible locations.
  11. I have crossed it hundreds of times but never fished it.. I know that @MJREDDY fishes that creek and hopefully can get you some answers. Very likely to have green sunfish, bass, creek clubs, common shiners, etc. Maybe a surprise fish or two. If you're willing to get closer to central MO I can put you on longear sunfish spots.
  12. Congrats on some good fishing! Good luck at the new job and congrats on your pending marriage!

    What's Cooking?

I agree that his on screen persons has been embellished on his shows. I have read that part of his Hells Kitchen program is to put these elitist chefs in a position to get them to a point from high and mighty to where they are able to learn and grow. I think that what he presents on his Uncharted show is more of who he really is as a person.
  14. Nice swamp musky Ham! Congrats on a good trip!

    What's Cooking?

Breakfast today was an English fry of sorts garlic home fries with red potatoes, two sausage patties, two over easy fresh eggs, and blistered cherry tomatoes.
  16. Some dark humor.
  17. You need a biologist to do that genetic work. If they are mutts they should act strangely when caught.
  18. I can't find it but I saw an article that stated that they have also been releasing Yellowstone cutthroat subspecies as well.
  19. Nice Brook trout. That tiger trout is awesome! Congrats on a great multispecies trip!
  20. @Greg B. very sorry to hear about your loss. As you mentioned you went out and did what your dad would have done and caught a nice bunch of eaters for yourself and family. I'm sure that he would be proud. congrats on the nice fish and hang in there!
  21. That's a big fish!
  22. one of my favorite jokes was " I was sweating like Mike Tyson in a spelling bee" 🤣
