  1. My daughter had one of her best years. She reared and released over 20 monarchs and 5 swallowtails !
  2. Not sure of the strain, but it appears to be the snake river cutthroat subspecies. Our resident cutthroat specialist @BilletHead can confirm!
  3. Don't want to see any human sacrifices if you two get together and form an obsidian blade or use Teotihuacan green obsidian. Just saw a Expedition Unknown episode on them !
  4. I would have to buy a boat first then tear it up !
  5. Congrats to you both for meeting up, getting your boat fixed and fishing with Wrench. As many have said, myself included that is one of the great benefits of this forum. Marty - I agree. I know that I am a better fisherman through the relationships that I have formed while on this forum. I also feel like I am a better man as well.
  6. Would have lived to have seen those redhorse. I don't know what species are common in the Niangua. Congrats on catching dinner!
  7. Marty always impressed by your skills and knowledge. Very nice points my friend.
  8. Very nice find. Looks like a young one. Should not be too woody. I'm jealous. Just been finding lots and lots of bitter boletes or Amanitas and some suspect gilled mushrooms. Not any good edibles like that one.
  9. Hope that he's a bit of a masochist and wants to be bit repeatedly! Good Luck!

We love that recipe as well. Have seen a squirrel in the yard in over a week.๐Ÿ˜’ Something has been tearing up the pine cones in the woodlot. So there has to be a couple around. Would love to have some squirrel dishes.
  12. Thought that you might have caught a rainbow over 20. Good luck on that 20+" brown!
  13. Nice rainbow Seth! Good luck on breaking the 20 inch curse. Is that just on Taney? Thought that you had posted bigger trout from your other trout trips.
  14. Jeff Pencil me in for Thursday to Sunday. I would prefer to stay at the lodge. A lot has to happen for me to get there. I know that there will be a food thread coming. Since I will be flying in so it may be tough to be bringing food from Maryland. But am willing to help prep and cook as needed. May be sous chef for some goose fajitas๐Ÿ˜.
  15. Good luck Dan. Can't wait to see some videos of your kayak fishing. We're looking into them as well. So much matshy water around us that needs to be fished from a boat.
  16. Phil Great report snd an awesome brown trout! Congrats!
  17. That's a real nice looking brown trout. I love its fall coloration. Congrats on some nice fish!
  18. Congrats on your 15th anniversary! Nice fish photos by the way!

Shepard's pie at the Folly house tonight!
  20. Sow bigs are isopods also crustaceans.
  21. @Phil Lilley as you know most of them are crustaceans and not insects. Most likely to be called scuds by most trout fisherman. I tend to refer to them as amphipods or maybe even Gammarus.
  22. Phil I know that you are just goading me on by calling them "bugs" !
  23. You know that I am in on any aggressive predator species, or for that matter any species !
  24. They are a fairly primitive fish. This oysterfish may be an ugly fish if there is such a thing ๐Ÿ˜Œ.
  25. Just had to go Cajun on us. Next you'll be showing us pictures of a gaspergou ๐Ÿ˜‚! I'd rather see some sac-a-lait!
