I have friends that rent Snowmobiles. They teach them basic safety before they head out. Start, Go ,Stop. Any damages are your responsibility and lies cost you double. They sign up and lie their asses off. My friend and his friend are getting rich(the repairman). Some basic training would be nice, I.E. red means left(port) you get the picture. One reason I spend my winters In Missouri/ Arkansas is because I can't sit in an Ice Shanty anymore with out the worry of a 100+ sled running over you. It happens. -

Yes, ice picks for sure. I use some Ice ax heads. Big spikes like you drive thru a 6x6, Long and strong is the key. (gutter nails do not work) I

We use them all the time in Michigan. Up to 10" sucker minnows for Pike,Muskie. 4-5 " for Walleye down to pinheads (1 1/2 " ) for Crappie and Perch. Fresh caught Smelt for BIG Brown and Lake Trout.

Check local pet stores for mealworms

Use a rod tip, build up the butt section with cork or rubber hose( fuel line, etc) and a small spinning reel. Smallest jig heads you have. Mealworms etc. Life jacket!

Never thought of that, I have a portable DVD player somewhere. I'm sure I paid much more than that. At that price it could go overboard and I wouldn't care. Now I just have to find it. Thanks for your help and Merry Christmas!
