Started to shovel driveway tonight but it was a solid sheet of ice underneath... left the snow just to have traction. Almost ate it taking the trash bins out

Phil, Robs fixed a few of these in our hunting cabins and can generally fix most everything like this stuff. Mr. Fix it he is. I'll see what he has to say. @BigHandsRob

We got a thin coating of ice with about 5in of snow on top and it's still coming down. We tend to get a lil bit more than ofallon being closer to the river... We'll see how long it keeps up, they already canceled all the kids school for today and tomorrow. If it let's up I gotta take my oldest out to teach her how to drive in the snow.

Cool video, nice catches and I know a few of those spots. What i also find most interesting is you cast with left and reel with left... one of my buddies does this and it trips me up when I watch him cast. Are you left handed?

My wife saw a legitimate forecast of 1 to 12 inches from the news folks... There was a joke in there somewhere but my kids were sitting in the room with us lol. Started raining here already, the size of this system is huge too. Hopefully it doesn't mess up my weekend plans for RAW tournament at Phil's...

All the data from both sides of the argument is suspect to me. I've had Dr's tell me to get my kids the vaxx and other Dr's including there Primary who saved my oldest daughters life when she was a baby with her level of study by diagnosing a rare condition tell me not to vaxx them due to issues she saw with adolescent girls and they're reproductive health... who do I listen to there? If I inadvertently sterilized my girls or gave them issues with possibly having children later on in life with an untested product with no understanding of long term side effects I couldn't live with myself. There's also the very real case where people have had reactions and died from it including a friend's of ours 19yr old son. There is also the risk that they could get covid and die, although that number is abysmally small. At the end of the day we took they're pediatricians advice and will not get them vaxxed, nor be pressured by anyone to do so.

Hope your recovery goes well. Stick to that recovery plan. My mom had to get hers done twice when she slipped... she said it was worse second time around. My gma had both her knees replaced in n her 70s. She was a tough old bird though, and made it look easy. I can still get around but just don't trust my right one... doesn't take much anymore for it to just pop out to the right. No ladders, and any climbing or going up grades it gets squishy.

It was like a fly fishing for trout or something basic like that, older non high def footage... I'll see if I can find it, it's been a few years since I watched it May have been this one, but don't see it on prime anymore... https://www.amazon.com/European-Nymphing-Techniques-Tying-Fishing/dp/B004IAGMWS

I caught the virus
JestersHK replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in General Angling Discussion
Have any of you gotten tested for antibodies? May be able to put some at ease knowing they had it and they were asymptomatic. The tests are out there and I believe still free but don't quote me on that. I like Seth wish they could focus on why it's so deadly for some and seemingly mild for others... We've had 3 rounds of illness go through my house, only one tested covid positive but I'm fairly sure it was covid that made the rounds as we all had same symptoms but didn't bother getting tested. We were all pretty mild. Me and the oldest had fevers and symptoms in March of 2020 but again never tested as that was the early days hehe crazy happened. That one put me down hard for about 4 days. About to the point wife was gonna take me to ER then fever broke and I came back around. Never experienced any illness like that before. Wife hasn't been sick since before start of Covid or she's been totally asymptomatic, or we have 3 kids and she was a nurse so has a robust immune system... who knows. Glad you all are making it past it ok. Especially you guys who had it bad or have high risk. Take care of yourselves out there. -
What was their point of interest here? Bird? Pretty pups ya got there.

I went 8 years without a dog... never again. I realize I wasted 8 years away without such loving companionship of a dog and its owner. There's nothing quite like it, but God why do they get to only spend such a short time with us before they are gone... We rescued these 3 little turds at 5 weeks old during quarantine. 3 sisters, just like my daughters, and although not the same as a dog they can be fun and loving little crap heads. Sadie even bonded with one and they are snuggle buddies. Make no mistake I know they'd kill and eat me if they were bigger, but they are my morning companions, my cereal and chicken wing sharing girls, and they are inseparable from each other.

February 2022 Ozark Anglers Crane Creek trip
JestersHK replied to Brian K. Shaffer's topic in Crane Creek
I don't know the legitimacy of the pure strain trout, and I'm too young to argue with folks who have lived and fished there forever, but I can say that creek is teeming with trout. They are beautifully marked too. There are some decent sized fish in there also and they fight like crazy. Only been there once last year but can't wait to wander back again. -
Here's my Sadie girl. One of the smartest dogs I've owned and she's a chihuahua with a brain the size of a walnut... She one attacked the neighbors 90lb rott as he was just trying to say hi to the girls. 100lb dog in a 10lb dogs body lol

I'm pretty sure it's beyond comical and will take divine intervention at this point! We need something more powerful than the peanut m&m ritual to overcome this dark curse upon you brother. There no super bowl for raw this year so I think a full night of chasing sea monsters is in order for you. We're gonna make it happen.

Say you might have an award or ribbon for most ignored 😛 You knows how sensitive everyone is nowadays I've gotten riled up a few times and had to be reminded to play nice. Part of doing business here. Phil runs an awesome forum though and is honest and fair and we have some great mods that police those of us need policing.

Holy 12 year old thread bump!

Crazy to see that board half empty with a bunch of names that usually put up some nice bags. I think you described it as brutal and that fits. I saw your brownie pic come through on my phone and got excited then bam! Just short lol. I'm gonna buy you a gig and snorkel if you don't get it done this year haha. Although I'm never happy to miss fishing or seeing the gang this one just didn't work out for me as I lost 2 partners to coming down with covid... and some mis planning on my part lol I will be at RAW no matter what, if all my partners get sick or bail I'll just weigh 4 fish haha Ryan as for fishing the day before I think it's more about us just wanting to fish, and driving 4 hours down and 4 hours back just to fish for 8 hours can be a drag. I def fish better the day before and after like most everyone else. @fmcbrandonhad a dandy bow boated on Friday which would of bumped them up for sure on tourney day. I think he said they weighed 5 fish... Hope to see you all soon at RAW

Jigfest boat rebuild thread.
JestersHK replied to gotmuddy's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Glad you got the surf board repaired buddy. You could of just thrown some flex seal on there and let her rip! Lol -
I like cheeseburgers too! Yes some days it gets really old. I woke up at Jigfest with it dislocated, I was pretty sore and wobbly with all the wading we did. I'm hoping to hold off long enough they can just cut the darn thing off and give me a cyborg leg...
-
Good luck with that and hope you get it fixed. I'm looking at a full knee replacement at 41... can't climb tree stands, have no faith in right leg stability, and can dislocate knee pretty much at will. It's in a constant state of pain, but I'm stupid and stubborn and keep putting off surgery...

Man you graduated to the app now? Buddy one of my favorite memories was right after you got your new boat setup on Taney that day as the wind blew us all over the place, we're getting close to the bank and you hollered out "don't worry boys I'm just up here playing GD video games! " as you were figuring out that remote bout pee'd myself laughing...

Who is fishing snowmageddon this weekend?
JestersHK replied to gotmuddy's topic in General Angling Discussion
I fished the Mississippi in the crappy wind... it's s terrible stretch of water and I've yet to catch anything there, but I tried. Mud was thick and deep so didn't stray too far. Then off to in laws to take kiddos sledding with their cousins. A good day indeed. -
Let's start up at the cable...
JestersHK replied to Brian K. Shaffer's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
He does love his boat rides. I hope to one day have a boat dog. My current furry is getting up there, don't think she'd enjoy it much.
