    Big M

Thanks for the report. Maybe it is beginning. Mike
  5. Cheese, congratulations on the first Wally. Hard to lip land those, eh? Mike
  6. Champ, congratulations. Well done Mike
  7. Does that make you a fisherperson? Mike
  8. Vernon, thanks for the report. I hear it is really difficult fishing right now. One reason for you might be the U of KS woman's volleyball uniform you are wearing. I heard fish aren't hungry when they are frightened. lol Mike
  9. Rodmaker, I am in the dam area and my AT&T works fine until I get into the far reaches of Long creek or way up the white river. The real question should be about internet service as what I have found it is slow here. by the way, what area of the lake will you be living? Mike
  10. This is an offer I cannot refuse. I'll be in next year. The fees I will save so I can fish those private waters will cover the cost of the lures I may have to send to others. Mike
  11. Brett, although I don't do fantasy anything, I thought you did an outstanding job as the coordinator. As I read the posts I didn't see anyone complain rather everyone seemed happy. Mike
  12. Cheese, nice healthy looking fish. Thanks for the information. Mike
  13. ewlech, I appreciate everything you said until the end. don't let your wife speak to wrench . lol Mike
  14. I was talking to a family the other day. They said they have a 30' boat and only go on LOZ during the week. Their boat is too small. The complained about the really big boats. Mike
  15. I'm going to chime in. I upgraded my electronics last year. After research I chose the Raymarine dragonfly pro7. I have one on the console and one on the trolling by motor. I stayed away from SI. The units are great for the way I use them. The clarity and detail are great. Before you upgrade, I suggest you look into them. IMO Mike

    Lake View?

I'm high on a hill with a great view looking south towards the dam, branson belle, and that huge open area where all the rental boats hang out burning gas. Room for hunting in the power line easement right behind the house but not good for cattle. Mike
  17. I wear glasses and have to buy sunglasses that fit over my glasses. Can't wear contacts. So I have the cocoons from BPS in both the brown and black lense. They work for me $49. But then again I've never worn a pair of expensive ones because I can't find a company that makes them to fit over regular glasses. I probably should get a pair of prescription ones but dang they are really expensive. This year has been tough because TRL lost some clarity making it harder to see into the water. Mike
  18. That was for the fireworks crowd at the Chateau. Mike
  19. IL, thanks for the information. Judging by the traffic in Branson, most people were putting their feed bag on during that time as all the restaurants were full Mike
  20. Ditto Mike
  21. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this storm. Mike
  22. Our prayers and thought are with the Beck family. Mike
  23. Flysmallie, nobody is in a hurry to get older but one day you wake up and BANG....there you are. Enjoy fishing, boating or walking the bank every chance you get. We only go around once. Mike
  24. As we were driving east on 44 from Springfield to STL Monday, we saw at least 50 trucks from various utility companies heading west towards TX. As with all disasters the utilities send workers and equipment to the area from other companies. This recovery effort will be huge. Mike
  25. bobby b, I agree with Champ. Fish when you can. Besides the fish do not read the predictor articles. Some days I just head out and if the fish aren't biting, I try to explore new water using my electronics. Congratulations on the drop shot success. I keep losing the weights and have not yet been able to put together a good day with it. But many people are using it so I will keep trying. Fall patterns are right around the corner I think. WT Thursday was 83 and Sunday it was 78. The next couple of weeks it looks like good weather temps. I'm heading back to STL for the next couple of weeks to clean out my home there as we close on the 12th so I will not be bothering your fish around Indian Point. But leave some for me around the middle of September. Mike
