  1. All, I listed my travel trailer on the Buy-Sell-Trade forum if anyone is interested. I am retiring soon and will move to TRL full time in January. But not to worry, since I only catch small fish I am not a threat to the sport. lol Mike
  2. We are selling our camper because I am retiring and we built our retirement home at TRL. I've included a you tube video of the same model camper so you can see exactly what it is. It is a 2003 Outback 26rs. Excellent condition. We just paid $2,000 to Apache Village here in STL to install 4 new tires, a new 14' awning, repacked the wheel bearings, a complete overall spring ready check to make sure everything is working correctly and had the roof sealed as maintenance because it is supposed to be done every couple of years. We are asking $7,000 and will throw in the heavy duty trailer hitch and sway bars ($400 value) and the extra-large blue water holding tank ($300 value). https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=ebF8pI-x7XE Options: electric winch on the front tongue, 13,500 BTU Central air/Ducted Furnace, Microwave Oven, exterior Gas Grill Cook Top, interior gas cook top and oven, Refrigerator 7.0 Cu Ft., Water Heater 6 Gallon Gas/Elec., AM/FM/CD Stereo, TV 13" Color, TV Antenna W/Booster, Stabilizer Jacks (Crank Down), Awning 13' - 14' (Each) NEW, Inverter (600 Watt), Manual Slide-Out (Bedroom), full bathroom/interior shower/tub, exterior Shower,3 Skylights (new), Spare Tire and Carrier. 5. Sprint, sounds like a nice day with enough activity to keep you focused. Mike
  6. richy, Is that you on the kayak in the beginning and the end? Sounds like it was a nice tournament. I sometimes see one of the kayak guys around Moonshine ramp. Nice rig. Mike
  7. Cheese, everyone has days like that. Some days you just get to enjoy the beauty of what nature serves up. Mike
  8. Gurzik, sounds like a nice trip. SM look very healthy. Thanks for the information. Mike
  9. SG2, thanks for the information. Sounds like the same pattern I found last weekend down in Long Creek. Nice SM picture. Very healthy looking. Mike
  10. Champ, I understand that to be true also but I can say that I have used the Long Creek ramp a couple of times recently and I continue to hang my COE pass from the rear view mirror and I have not been asked to pay. I get in before the pay shack opens but when I leave, the attendants merely wave at me if they are there. Pretty good fishing down there too. Mike
  11. Bo, thank yo for the report. Seems like you worked hard for those fish. Mike
  12. Edwin, thanks for sharing. And she is using a baitcaster. Teaching her correctly!!. Mike
  13. ABK, a long time ago I read about that front runner and tried tying it first and then running a Zara Spook off the back of it. I threw it for a day and caught nothing so I put it away and haven't thrown it since. The idea seemed to have merit but the execution of it did not work for me. Mike
  14. Mike, we were in Long Creek on Saturday but left before you got on the water. We found the couple of keepers inside the cove close to the main lake point with a jig. We were sitting in 19' and casting towards the shore. They hit the jig when it fell off a ledge in about 8'. Ours were all SM too. Sounds like you and your group had a fun time. Mike
  15. We put in at long creek around 7:15 and fished till 10. Went south to a couple of longer coves. Caught 12 with 1 keeper spot and 1 keeper SM. Neither keeper over 2 lbs. but we came upon a 20 yard stretch inside a main lake point and caught 5 on successive casts with a pbj jig. The jig fell off a ledge and the SM just hammered it. Fun while it lasted. Water temp down there was 73-75. Good color water. Very few boats early. But they started arriving when we were taking out. It was a beautiful morning. Mike
  16. Nice report. Thanks for the information. Mike
  17. I've always said that a person only needs 2 things to retire: A boat that works and a spouse that works. Mike
  18. Champ, Thanks for the information. Nice to hear that the WT was below 80. Spinner bait bite in shallow water!!! Sweet. Healthy fish in the pictures. Mike
  19. Champ, I got mine in the spring and it took a while to get used to it but now I don't have any problem with it. Mike
  20. Bo, sounds like you really got into them. Totally agree with the parallel casting in that situation. Nice pictures. Thanks for the report Mike
  21. Cody, thanks for the report. Waiting for this cooler weather. I agree we are getting close to a good TW and jig bite. Good luck in the derby. Mike
  22. Sounds like you guys had a fun day. Did the low water help, hurt or made no difference? Donna, ouch!! But nice picture of a healthy fish. Champ, thanks for the details. Mike
  23. I think I recognized yours as the one with all the political banners in the windows!! Lol. Good luck with the visiting people. Mike
  24. Well Patlock and I were planning on fishing around point 5 this morning but we only had a couple of hours so we went over by Rock Lane marina. I managed to catch one keeper SM on the rock crawler. Pat had a couple of short SM. We still have not found an early TW bite. WT was 82.3. Pretty clear color in that area. The keeper SM was close to the bank which you can see the type of rock in the background of the picture. One the water at 6:45am and off at 9:30am. The new Duckett crankin rod is really nice. Mike
  25. Chris, congratulations to Michelle on her retirement. Now the countdown begins for you. Let us know when you are coming down. Mike
