Champ, thank you for the report. I smiled when I read it because of my attempt to fish on Saturday. I was going solo and drove to the ramp at Moonshine Beach around 11:30am. The first thing I saw was that the parking lot was empty. No trailers at all. I thought that was a little weird until I looked at the lake. There were 3 foot waves rolling into the ramp. The wind was howling from the north and my plan was to head over to the mouth of Indian Point. Well I sat for a minute, thought about driving to a more secluded ramp and finally decided that since I was by myself and I only had about 3 hours to fish I would just forget fighting it for the day. Now I am reading all the posts about nice fish caught and learned a valuable lesson. In the future when I do not have someone to fish with I will reach out to people here on the OAF and extend an invite. Safety in numbers and all that plus I'm sure I will learn something. Mike

DChance, I hope not much because I'll be around the mouth of Indian Point. The sun will still be out most of the week so it should help. Mike

Well, I had a bunch of stuff done. Water pump, bilge pump replacement, livewell pump replaced, motor tune up, gas gauge fixed, voltage regulator and they installed a digital depth and temp gauge in the dash. I got the quote for all the parts and labor and felt that it was within reason. I have to admit that I was more concerned with their ability to do the work, and since they are certified according to the Evinrude/Johnson website, the pricing was secondary. Mike

Eye, I took the advice of Bill Babler and took my boat to Ulich Marine in Branson West. They replaced my water pump among other things and I have to say the boat is running great. And my motor is a 1989. Mike
