  1. One of the most accurate "Bablerisms" ever posted!!!! Mike
  2. Bill, you are so right. I am amazed at the people who ask "what are they biting on?" That question is of little use. How deep the fish are is some great information. It speaks volumes. Mike
  3. Nice pictures of some very healthy fish. Mike
  4. She said no because the park is not officially open. Mike
  5. Here is the question I asked and the COE's answer about charging a fee. You can judge if the COE means you cannot use it or you don't have to pay a fee. -----Original Message-----From: Michael Knoke [mailto:mnm107@sbcglobal.net] Sent: Friday, March 10, 2017 12:22 PMTo: Deckard, Emily T SWL <Emily.T.Deckard@usace.army.mil>Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] Special Event ApplicationEmily, I forgot to ask is the daily use fee still waived for the couple of boats that will launch from Eagle Rock in the April tourney? And also is the fee still waived for the BBQ pit use for the day as we will have hot dogs after the tourney?Mike Mike,Eagle Rock Park does not open fully until May 1, at that time the daily use fee will go into effect along with the fee for reserving a shelter. At the time of your tournament we will not yet be charging fees, so you won't have to worry about that. Just be aware if you have another tournament later in the year after the parks are open that the daily use and shelter reservation fees will be in effect. Thanks,Emily
  6. I applaud anyone who can catch fish on TRL regardless of the amount of information they received. I absorb as much information from the reports everyone posts here on this forum. I try to use that information to my advantage while deciding where to fish and what to use. In the end, more experience and a little luck will help me catch more fish as time goes by. I've learned that when all else fails I will pick up a Ned and catch a few. I owe that knowledge to this forum. For that I am extremely grateful. Mike
  7. Or do like I do. Fish in open water where there aren't any things to get hooked on including FISH. But I never lose a lure. Come to think of it maybe that is why I am not catching Any fish. ?HMMM.....lol Mike

  16. 4 of us had the catfish at Danna's last night. Get a baked potato in place of the other 3 sides. My go to meal there. While we are on the subject of food, where is the best fried chicken on the west side of TRL? We've had it at RTs and it is good. We r looking for one of those places hidden away in the country that serves great fried chicken. This is what posters do on days like today. Mike

Champ, I'm <10 minutes from the ramp at Moonshine so if I have a couple of hours of free time I'll try to get in some casts. I will start to fish longer as we get more into spring. Mike
