  1. Braid unwinds after one hundred days use. Mike
  2. OMR, now that is funny!!! Mike
  3. SplitG2, Nice pictures of healthy fish. I hope to launch tomorrow morning a little earlier than 6 from Moonshine. Hopefully there might be a TW bite for the first 1/2 hour or so. Only 1 short SM, eh? Hmmm....I wonder where they went cause the dam is usually loaded with them. Mike
  4. Champ, Basil Bacon is a name out of the past, cut from the old school before all the electronics. Thanks for bringing a smile to my memory bank. Mike
  5. In our younger days we would have jumped in to cool off for a bit when the fishing slowed up. Times have changed a bit for us mature folks, eh? Mike
  6. Quill, still making lemonade out of lemons. Sounds like you kept grinding and it was a decent time. Mike
  7. Dave, sounds like a spf 80 day. Congratulations on the bait caster fish. Mike
  8. Ken, well done. Great pictures. Mike
  9. Thanks for the three reports. I appreciate reading about your good fortune catching fish. I'm sitting in a hotel room in Chicago on business but my mind is on TRL. Mike
  10. Ben, is the brightness dictated by the sun shining at the time the picture was taken? Mike
  11. WW, I hear ya about the 19' tackle box. Most of us are in the same situation when we get asked to fish out of another boat. What and how much do I bring? Thanks for the information on the LOZ tactic. I've used that set up there, I just didn't know what to call it. I use the heavier head because it gives me a better feel. Mike
  12. WW, if I am reading the score sheet correctly you are fishing against your partner in the same boat. Nice picture of some healthy fish. What is the "power shakeyhead" method? Sounds interesting. Congratulations on the tourney and also on surviving the boat traffic over the weekend. Mike
  13. Clf, read any of the posts by Dtrs5kprs. There are helpful hints in those posts. Mike
  14. Cheese, nice report. Sounds like the early bite on top was fun. We're there many other fisherman up that way during the morning? Mike
  15. Quill, nice report. Congratulations on figuring it out. Love the pictures. Mike
  16. Jeff, thanks for the information. It appears that your tactics kept the day interesting. We are rewiring my trailer and replacing the lights so I have to read the reports for the next couple of weeks to get my fishing rush. Mike
  17. Bo, you are really dialed in on those night time haunts. well done. Mike
  18. Mark, nice report thank you for the information. It appears that your cousins are no longer inexperienced fishing topwater and swim baits. It is great when you can pass along knowledge and it works! Great pictures. Mike
  19. Quill, it is quite possible that the fish have grown accustomed to your boat and the bigger fish collectively decided to not fall for your tricks. IMO Mike
  20. wcbrent, sorry, some days I just post the first thought that pops into my head. Mike
  21. I agree with Bo. I would also add that if you are worried the fish will read it and know it is a factory second, I would remove the words altogether and replace it with the words "live minnow" or "live crawdad" so the fish will know to eat it. lol Mike
  22. You guys are brutal!!!! But it is entertaining. Mike
  23. I was thinking the same thing. Mike
  24. I've had a couple of reels that looked pretty close to that. Mike
  25. Hammer, congratulations on figuring it out so that the day picked up for you especially after the first two hours were a bust. Nice double! Mike
